I have Powerchip and so far everything seems great, but with the "less than positive" press these days and some other posts I've read suggesting to matchup one's tune with the manufacturer of your headers (in my case the MBH long tubes), are there people out there who mixed and matched setups but alternatively found that car performed better when everything came from one "shop" so to speak?

simply speaking...YES

since you have the MBH longtubes(Like I do)..I would suggest dynocomp software, OE tuning, or modernhorsepower.

Contact James at ACG San Diego...they have a header matched tune specifically for the MBH longtubes. I couldn't be happier with my results and drivability.

How long dd it take for them to flash your ecu I'm assuming not long apart from the removal and reinstallation of the ecu?

The actual programming takes less than 5 minutes. Maybe 10. If they have a live person doing the program and not using canned programs, it might take another hour assuming the guy is available on the other end of the phone. This is what happened when they did my wife's C300.

James can dyno the car, load his tune on the dyno, and dyno again so you know the difference between PC and his tune!!

James and I spoke several months ago about this plan for my car too. I will drive down Thursday to see James for KW v3 & LSD and I would love to see your car there too!

I have an OE tune and I love it! I also like the great support that comes with the tune. Jeremey is allways there to answer any questions.

I would go with OE Tuning, but If James has a tune matched for MBH LTH's then that would be your best bet.

Nice! Thanks. Are there posts on here where people illustrate their gains from OE's tune?

I recommend matching headers and tune too.

I switched to an MHP tune and went faster at the track in much
worse weather. Still have MBH Headers but I have MHP headers
ready to install for the fall and fully expect to be even faster after
the header swap.

Thanks! Are those numbers for your car stock vs. tune-only, or do you have other performance mods besides the tune?

No problem,
At that time (besides the tune) I only had a 2ndary cat delete (Straight pipes) everything else was stock.

Talked to Jeremy, and he couldn't be nicer. Might be taking a trip up to LA soon to see his setup.

Can't go wrong with Jeremy at OE Tuning or James at ACGSD...I've been a happy customer of both and had each of their tunes. If I didn't have the Buttonwillow event on Saturday I would definitely stop by to check out your car and results.

Good luck!

Well here is what I ultimately decided...since ACG has been great to me and my car, I am going to give them first crack. Also, in order to get the stock file back in time from PC (I have to send them my ECU and have it sent back since they wont give us the file) it would be cutting it close to dyno ACG vs. Stock vs. Powerchip in order for me to be up in LA by Saturday. Plus, I have to work a lot this weekend and my photoshoot with Jeff is on sunday. So, Im going to try out ACG's tune and look at the numbers it puts down and then decide whether I want to go up to LA and test OE out.
