Yellow Brembos courtesy of HMS
Wanted to post some pics earlier but have been really busy with all the July 4th stuff.
Went over to HMS (Harbor Motor Sports) on Saturday to get my calipers painted, I wanted to originally paint them electric blue but they didn't have the color I wanted, So I went with Brembo Yellow. They did an absolute kick *** job at a great price!! The calipers look like they came outta the factory like this.
I might go with the electric blue later on in the future but for now I love the yellow, It really stands out, especially when the car is rolling.
Here are are some pics.
Thought Id add a nice pic of Angeles Crest Hwy.

If it's not too personal, do you mind sharing how much approx it cost to change the color of the calipers? Is it painted or powdercoated?

Nice job! How long did it take? Since they removed the calipers did you upgrade to ss brake lines or changed to better brake fluid? Pls PM the price too.

Thanks man!!
PM sent.
Whole process took around 2 hours.
They didn't remove it, they painted the calipers without taking it off the car. I still have the OEM brake lines and fluids.

In my opinion this is the best way to do it. If you powder coat you need to disassemble them and rebuild them afterwards. Many have said the calipers are never the same after being split. Kudos for a great looking set up...

I was actually speaking to a body shop owner that was a painter for Brembo and he said painting calipers is best way to go as opposed to powder coating.

Looks killer homie!
Yellow goes great with your set up!
If you're interested in what the blue would look like on your wheel set up, I'll send ya a pic of when I had my M40's with the blue calipers behind it. If you want pics of what the blue will look like behind black wheels, I have a pic of that too! You can always change it up to the blue when you get bored anyways
HMS is definitely the place to go for this stuff. They know what they're doing!

Looks pretty cool!
How much did you pay, and where HMS located?
Not to sound like an ***, but what's up with these prices being private? If they gave you a "hook-up" I understand, but wouldn't they want their prices out there, more people would be interested

I would love to see detailed pics of the blue with your HRE setup.
I really wanted to go with an electric blue but they didn't have the color on hand.
Would wanna go that route later on though.
HMS is located in Westminster, CA.
I guess there is not point in hiding the price, They charge $350.

Ah, on beach blvd. I pass that place quite often, I thought it was just a regular stereo/wheel shop.
Thanks, love your car man, good job!

Looks great man, the contrast with the black HRE's makes it really pop.
Brembo yellow over the electric blue for sure.
Unless you plan on putting a neon ground effects kit on your ride too!

I wonder how the paint will hold up under track conditions versus powder-coated.

They look outstanding. I have the same wheels in 20" brushed https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...coilovers.html and was thinking of also going yellow or orange calipers

Your car looks awesome!! Love the wheels and the stance.
I think orange or yellow would look great on a black C63, especially with a nice set of wheels.
