Shopping around for rims...decisions decisions!
I'm considering getting a set of rims, but i'm having trouble deciding on a very basic parameter....size...
I can't decide if I should go with 19s or 20s. I'm concerned that the front side walls will too narrow in the front, causing significant ride discomfort.
It also seems that most rims i've seen online seem to look better in 20s than they do in 19s. There's also a bigger selection of 20s to choose from.
I'm planning to lower the car with H&R springs.
Can people with aftermarket rims chime in on their ride experience with 19s and 20s?

ride with 19's and H&R's is awful.
ride with stock 18's and stock suspension is awful.
Don't know anything about the ride with 20's but I'm guessing it's awful.
these cars ride terrible going from 18's to 19's really doesn't make things much worse.

well , i have 19" DPE wheels and H&R coilovers and i like the ride of the car . i don't think anyone should expect the ride quality of a Maybach on a vehicle thats made for performance reasons

I have to agree. I am running 20's with H&R coil overs and the ride is very firm, Coil overs will certainly help with ride quality.

19s are perfect for this car. 20s are a bit big and ride definitely suffers with them. Adjustable coilovers will certainly help. I'm running 19s with KW V3s and the ride is firm, but not harsh. I'd be glad to help you out with either the wheels or coilovers if/when you want.

gonna go with the H&R springs. I really wanted some multi-piece rims, but the high rear offsets kinda kills the lip imo. Thinking about the HRE P40 now in brushed tint clear finish, in 19s. Sponsors wanna throw me a PM with pricing shipped to Toronto Canada?

I think you should do more research.
I personally would never put springs on my cars. H&R coilovers doesn't allow you to adjust the dampness.
You need a higher offset with our cars. As much as you want a lip you're probably going to get ~3" max because of the high offset our car needs. To solve this you could always get wide body kit. lol

I have 19 inch multi pcs rims, and I do agree about the weak offset in the rear... I wish my rear lip would be deeper. But on the other hand, I find the ride is better with the H&R springs over OEM springs.

If you want light and inexpensive forged monoblock, have a look at Rennen. Same quality as most of the other big names out there at 2/4 of the price:

I definitely agree with the rest and say go 19". Especially if you go with a 1pc wheel, as 1pc wheels tend to look larger than a multi-piece wheel in any given size (the face sunk behind the lip on multi-piece wheels often makes them look smaller than their 1pc counterpart).
We have done quite a few C63's already, and can definitely help you make a decision on which route to go. Shoot us a PM, E-mail or call us and we can discuss some options

Wow, nice job on the color... they look so much better than when they used to be white. But you should have left the lip polished... still nice!!

thanks for all the input guys. But decided to ride with the stock wheels for now. Honestly haven't found a set of rims I like that looks as good as the OEM ones yet. But definitely going with 19s if I fall in love with a set of rims.
