Any DIY for painting tips black?

I wanna start a little project for myself and paint my exhaust tips satin black. Anybody know the necessary steps that need to be taken?

Pretty big risk of getting overspray on your paint and not much room to get paint on the top of the tips even with the diffuser removed. If you are going to do it may as well do it right.

Plasti Dip stand up to the heat? I think the tips get hot enough to burn your skin.

i have had my quad tips painted w plasti dip for 6 months now and they are still perfect. this is on a c350. its been hot all summer and i drive at high rpm a lot so you should have no problems.

the thing is your tips to not separate from the mufflers like mine to so painting will be more difficult i believe.

Thanks for the kind words guys! All it took was a can of satin black engine enamel paint. No scuffing or primer.
