After getting the wheels aligned today I went for a little canyon run up Angeles Crest Hwy. I go there on and off so I'm pretty familiar with the road. Didn't drive with the traction fully off since it gets dangerous up there and dont wanna do anything dumb, so I just put the car in manual mode with the traction in sport.

If I can sum up these tires in one word it would be SOLID!!
Handling on the car has DRAMATICALLY improved. VERY confidence inducing grip, crazy traction, amazing turn in, and smooth ride.
While entering a turn, these tires really dig in and feel completely planted to the ground, Don't feel like they are stressing at all.
The rear end used to get wobbley and I would lose traction while exiting a turn when I had the Hankooks. Not the case with the PSS, SOOOO much grip on exiting turns its insane! The car squats into turns and holds its ground all the way through the turn and blasts through the straights.

All in all I do not regret buying these tires one bit. On the contrarty, I regret not buying these sooner!!

Final thoughts....
-These tires are meant to be abused!! I wouldn't buy these If I were not planing on having fun with them, and trust me they are VERY fun!!

-Yes, they are expensive but well worth the money, I would buy these tires again in a heart beat.

-Would I recommend these tires to anyone? HELL YEAH!!!!
Anyone who is planing to buy these tires please don't second guess, buy them and enjoy them. Trust me, you guys wont be disappointed!

I switched out the stock Conti's to the Michelin Super Sports about 1K miles ago, and can attest to everything you said. They are truly amazing tires and really let you push the car much harder.

Great review.

Is it really that big of a difference? What is the exact model of the Tire?

Aren't you guys comparing worn out, bald tires to brand new rubber? I would like to see an independent test of new tires for each. I'm sure they are great tires, and i'll probably go with Super Sports next time.

No, This is my 5th set of tires on this car and driven on the stock Pzeros, 2 sets of Hankooks and Falken RT-615 tires, and my current set of Michelins trumps all of them.

, Don't really take my car to the 1/4 mile.

Pilot Super Sport.......I drive the 105 fwy which has a stretch of noisy concrete. It is much quieter......the car is not an E, but now hits road bumps much softer without sacrificing handling.

great review. looking forward to putting them on.

I will be fun to see what type of mileage we can get out of them.

They are supposed to be engeneered w technology from for endurance racing...

I guess that if ferrari is putting them as OE on the 458 it means something.

I'm nearly 12,000 kms into my super sports 245/275. Great tires! Still good tread on them... I think the rears will get to 15k and I doubt the warranty will come into play.

I pretty sure he warranty is 55 000km in canada and 27 500km for the rear tires since you can't rotate them.
