I don't even let the dealer wash it. I found the hard way that even the people that suppoose to be professionals in car washing are slacking.
I take my time and wash the car and dry it with high quality materials. I really sweat and work hard to wash the cars but the results are far better than any person washing your car.
Keep in mind that the mentality of most car wash is to finish your car quick to have the next car done and there is a lot of compromises.
With this being said I typically wash the car like once a week although it dosn't get that dirty because it stays in the garage for many hours.

My cars typically get washed every 4 to 5 days, depending on the weather. If its just dusty, I will just spray thew car down and wipe it off.

Mercedes Finish - We have a 2007 ML500 which has been parked outside in Texas Sun since new... it get's washed 1/month and never waxed since new.... I gave it the 1st wax job 2 wks ago.... and I was amazed at the very low amt of build-up on the paint..... no clay bar... just a one-step wax job and good as new. These MB's must have a very high quality finish.

I wash it only when it's very dirty... so I would say once a month since it's my week-end car. Between washes, I use my California duster... amazing product which saved me so much time.

Once or twice a week...
I always hand wash it and invested in a high quality water deionizer system a while back so after washing I rinse it with the DI water, pull it in the garage and let it air dry. No spots and it saves me a ton of time previously spent drying the car and getting water out of the mirrors and other places it likes to hide.
The car gets a full detail every 3 months.

I **** on the rear bumper once every so often to get the soot off...that and a few spritz of gasoline from the pump. Once in a while I may give her a quick run down with the gastation squeegie...

I try for once a week (usually do), but never go more than 2 weeks without getting one. It's mostly for the brake dust that I'm too lazy to clean myself, haha. It's usually relatively clean on the outside and inside.
Wax whenever the seasons change, and full detail once a year.
I take it somewhere, I used to do it myself but I'm lazy.. There are good car washes out there, keep looking til you find one!

I use this one:
http://calcarduster.com/originalDuster.asp
It wipes the dust on the rear bumper with one strike... awesome product & will save you tons of washes. Be sure to put the duster in the newspaper before first use to remove the excess oil.
