Everyone will suggest you to get a tune and LT headers probably. LT headers are very very loud make sure you listen them on real life before getting them.

Tune + Filters + Intake mod = 1K about
Rims= $1200 Forgestars are nice and good weight save look hot.
Dad's CF vented hood (Not sure on current price)

Headers make the car stupid loud but they sure do add power.

That should keep you within 4K if you go with an OE tune. If you go with MHP tune you will be over the 4K without the hood.

Tune will get you over 500 hp with no effort and cheap. I'd also go with wheels tires...looks and performance!

C43 AMG CAB & VIPER
I just embarqued on a similar journey.

I had a similar budget...

I chose to go with:

Charcoal filter Delete - $0 & 10 minutes
Performance Air Filter (maybe 5-10 hp) I did not change mine
Eurocharged ECU Tune (70-80 HP gains) - (least expensive I found with good power numbers and great service) $850 plus 2 way shipping: http://www.eurocharged.com/index.php...art&Itemid=111
QUAIFE LSD - $1700 installed (better traction and more predictable drifts) http://www.execstudio.com/products_power_quaife.htm
And a few aesthetics: Carbon fibre trims off ebay (Diffuser, Trunk lip) - $500

That cost me about $3K

My research has led me to conclude that beyond the ECU Tune, you will not get any noticeable power gains unless you are willing to put shell out some serious dough. People that do these mods (CF intake, headers, xpipe, pulleys etc. are likelly out to get the absolute most out of their cars and have the financial means to do it.

You might as well get an ECU TUNE and an LSD to increase your traction to help put all that power to the pavement instead of slipping... You may also take your remaining $1000-$1500 and get some great tires... OR save your $ to pay for replacement rear tires cause they melt rather quickly if you are a "spirited" driver like me... Or like me, spend the remaining budget on some aestetics... I like Propain's CF hood suggestion but it's expensive and looks kind of out of place unless you also have some other CF bits on (diffuser, trunk lip, maybe trunk etc...) Plus, you could easily spend your whole $4000 on CF only if you got Hood, Trunk, Diffused, Front lip etc.

If your not planning on getting headers then I would suggest the following.

Tune, filters, Pulley and 2ndary cat delete.
You can spend the left over cash on suspension, LSD, and some carbon fiber.

I would say make the lsd the first mod. The car drives better with it installed.
