True... but Im tired going there cuz my car is out of warranty... I might just find and Indy mercedes shop around my area. Been doing some research and they said maybe the crankshaft hall sensor or battery.

-common problems with the c63 -

Its totally awesome exhaust note , wickedly bolstered seats, hand built all aluminum m156 6.2L 32valve 4cam engine , and enough torque to rotate the planet

Rattle from the instrument cluster dash area

If you guys want me to upload the copy of the MB work order I can. But all they say is just a lot of bs that explains only that they used thick double sided tape and applied it inside of all the dash area.

Old thread but had to chime in. You're lugging the engine driving at 90kph in 7th!! You're in way too high a gear. The "vibration" is the engine/transmission trying to tell you that.
It's not a problem with the car.

The car has a stiff suspension, it's no surprise to me that rattles are common. I, personally, love the interior in my 11. I've heard a lot of harsh criticisms about the interior not being up to snuff, but I think it's great. I had a C350 for a couple years and loved it too. It had rattles, but was a fantastic car. For the money, I don't see any car like the C63 out there that could make me nearly as happy driving it. I can't find enough reasons to get behind the wheel.

If I had to define one common problem, I would say it's my fat ***. My car is a constant reminder that I over ate at dinner when I try to shoe horn my butt in between the bolstered laterals. And it also will not allow for fat chicks. But I guess once you get an AMG, the girls get thinner that need a ride.

Still love fat chicks though. Got a pick-up when I need to scratch that itch. "Just hop in the bed sweet heart...."

Since my last posting i have replaced the vehicle with 507 version and it is same thing.
And it is common issue. When cruising in C, gear box is designed to drive on 7th gear at around 80KPH. I know it is a high gear for that speed. I wonder if other people never drive the car in C mode on highway?
Any way I have learned to live with the issue the car is grate and I love it.
As for people that think i don't drive it as what is supposed to be driven? Check out Herald Sun News Paper in Melbourne on 10th of February. Gone little to fast and was the talk of a radio talk show, as well as news paper second page. Car was impounded for a month and waiting to see judge about it. Due to upcoming court can't provide any details about the incident. Rest a sure what ever happen was in middle of the night on a very good road no other cars around (Apart from hidden cop car) little to fast but no danger to anyone. Didn't want to endanger life of passenger as well as life of cops by trying to get away (Even that i had the chance to do so) there for decided to stop.

When I drive in C mode I just paddle down if the revs drop too low. I like to keep it around 2000 rpm cruising around town and in reduced speed zones.

Angry In service more than out

Hey all...I'm frustrated with the lack of quality of my car and wondering if it is a unique case or not. I see everyone has the rattle issues, but mine has been in 3 times for the same seat issue (reclines and won't come back up), coolant alert sensor, recalled issue and I can't recall what else. Its been in at least 8 times in less than 2 years. AND it takes them forever to fix anything! twice I've been told it is an issue they normally don't see. I LOVE my car, but not when I'm driving a loaner and paying a boat load for an 80k+ car! So..is it normal to expect to be in in for warranty service so much or did I just get a lemon?

I would never own this car outside of a warranty. AMG=All my Money Gone.

In my mind, the headaches outweigh the sheer joy this car brings. But I would NEVER recommend it to anyone as an only car or without the precaution that it is temperamental and ridiculously expensive to repair outside of a warranty. Some may disagree, but I consider it an exotic.

First World Problems buddy.... Expect 2 sets of rear tires a summer on coilovers $1500+-, a $300 oil change a year (if you only put low mileage on your car). Over $3000 in fuel, a fat car payment if you can't pay cash for the car, plus insurance, plus mods...luckly for me I have a huge aftermarket warranty on my 2009 that has 112000km on it. I still have 80000km or 3.5 yrs of full warranty (previous owner paid $4000 for the warranty) good thing because I just had a little knock in the front suspension turns out it's $2000 of parts and labor.... If you expect this car to cost 5k a year in payments and maintenance sell the car. These cars are awesome but are not for just anybody. To own these cars and keep them up to par you're going to spend 10k-15k a year for it just to put 10-15000km and that's just for payments, insurance, gas, tires and regular maintenance. If you start modding it goes a lot faster lol I sunk almost 10k in the last 6 months in mine and still have a handful of things I want to address and mod. It's a bottomless pit... That is all 🇩🇪💪 happy motoring

I've had a C36, a C55, a C63, an S55 and an S65. I always buy the 7-year extended warranty. I'd never keep one without an MB warranty. That said, they have been trouble-free. Other than scheduled maintenance, none of them needed more than a few short trips to the shop. I was only stuck on the side of the road once, when a bad fuel gauge in the S65 caused me to run out of gas. Motor mounts were replaced a few times. Accelerator pedal sender once. Resistor pack in the ventilation fan control. A couple of other things but never an engine or transmission problem. And they all had long lives with lots of mileage.

I drive them hard. So does my wife. I've had more problems (but not many) with non-AMG MBs, going back to a 300SD and an S500. But all told, my MBs, including the AMGs, have been the most the most reliable cars I've ever owned.

I really don't think you have anything to worry about, this set up for the C63 is long in the tooth and is the last hooray for the 6.2 so all the issues should be worked out.

By the way congrats, I just picked up a 507 coupe you will love it.

W204 C63 No sound coming out of the radio, but Nav voice works

Hi guys,

I need your help. My 2009 C63 with Harmon Kardon. There's no sound coming out of the speakers. I tried disconnecting the battery already, still nothing. But, when I set the destination on my Nav, I hear the voice commmands for the navigation. But no sound coming out of the speakers for the CD or radio. Has anyone on here have or had the same issues? Any help will be appreciated. I work at a Ferrari dealer and have mechanics that can help me, but want to know what to look for before I get my guys on it.

Is it a amp issue?

Could it just a blown fuse? If so, which fuse should I be looking for?

Thank you in advance.

On that squaeking passenger seat, I just had my driver's seat adjuster replaced under warranty. Used to make a noise when moving in it / cushion was pushed down.

Steering sqeak was recently fixed by a new hose, still some noise present.
Had the exact same squeak in my coupe, the dealer took out yhe radio, and some foam tape later it was gone.

I have a had the car for a few months, no problems to report thus far. Only issue I have is the quality of the back up camera. It's absolutely awful compared to my 13' GLK.

For a top of the line class, you would expect something much better, they didn't even put guidelines...

Besides having the feeling of misfire through gas pedal on occasions and a pop/crack when closing sunroof its ok.

Anyone know the fix to the pop/cracking sunroof?
