Common Problems with the C63 AMG

C63 AMG, C36 AMG, SL500
Only owned the car for 2 months:
1/ Sqeaky sunroof when in tilt mode as mentioned above.
2/ Small Fuel tank, as a daily driver I struggle to go 3 days with out filling up.
Whoever in AMG decided to put this fuel tank with a 6.2 L+ V8 must surely be looking for new job!

Brand new MY2012, Command needs replacing as display color runs and streaky display, not yet delivered as I won't accept it broken. Back ordered unit.

Grill came loose while sponge washing. Re-seated it CEL problems worst to date. Both stumped the service people. First time bad air valve two weeks at dealer, replaced, Second CEL carbon fluff right exhaust manifold cleaned with "pipe cleaner" - yep like in have a pipe smoke... We are driving the car harder now (more throttle). CEL problems @ 6K, 12K. Car is rock solid. Wife's favorite car all time. Detail of CEL's elsewhere in blogs.

I have a long list when it comes to mine, unfortunately.
1. Oil Pan Leak (within first month of ownership)
2. Coolant Level (too low)
3. Engine eating oil (still not sure what that was due to)
4. Ticking/Knocking noises from the engine (cams related issue)
5. Transmission re-set (4-5 times now)
6. Torque convert re-set (Twice)
7. Transmission oil (Levels were too low)
8. Pressure regulating valve (Replaced due to whining noises)
9. Battery Replaced (once)
10. Wipers (replaced once due to plastic parts breaking off in 11K miles)

2010 Irridium Silver MB C63 AMG Sedan
Leather coming apart from seat frame in back...
"Soft" windshields
Body panels or seams not flush and crisp, metal to plastic
Had one instance where the steering wheel was stuck for a day and would not move down
Another time the navi screen would not open one random day
"soft" leather that cannot take a slight bruising
squeaky side mirrors and plastic housing
rear view camera sucks
Not the greatest paint job with some imperfections and drips
I guess the power, torque and engine growl makes up for some of this...

It doesnt always happen. Its hard to isolate exactly where its coming from. Maybe the passenger seat, maybe further back. And I cant tell if its from near the sunroof or near the rear window.
Ive tried moving the passenger seat to many different positions with no luck.
Ive tried pasenger headrest up/down/midway.
Ive tried panorama roof open, midway, closed. Ive tried panorama shade open, closed, midway, etc.
Im going to try rear seats down tonight when I head home from work.
If that doesnt isolate it, Ill start stuffing rags and towels all over the place until I find something that fixes it.

I have an extremely noisy rattle from (possibly) the rear of my 2012 C63 Coupe as well. I only have a few hundred miles on it =/
It doesnt always happen. Its hard to isolate exactly where its coming from. Maybe the passenger seat, maybe further back. And I cant tell if its from near the sunroof or near the rear window.

lol i have the sameeeee noise issue, but it dosent really bother me because i always have music playing. i just noticed a few weeks ago when i had my radio off and i was going through a twistie road. do you have the rear view sunshade? i think thats where my noise might be coming from.
My previous C63 Sedan had the rear sunshade, and it squeaked a little from time to time, but nothing annoying.
The rattle/squeak from the back of my new one is MUCH more annoying than that

Rattling sound due to the rubbing between the plastic interior parts.
And they will not go away, one suppressed and another pops out.
I think MB really need to redesign the way they put the interior parts together. At least consider putting proper amount of felt tapes in between to reduce this kind of annoying rattling noise.

I have rattling issues on my dashboard (speedometer area) and also in the rear where the break light is mounted. There's a plastic cover there that rattles and is annoying the s*** out of me. I’m in NY so I hear this every time I drive the car. I plan to stop by the dealer this weekend and see if they could do anything about it. For a $80000 car this shouldn’t happen and unfortunately I see I’m not the only one. 
Another thing is that my front brakes started squeaking.
Anybody here who had these issues resolved and wouldn’t mind sharing some info? It would be very much appreciated!!

Minor squeaks and rattles are a way of life for these kinds of cars, anything with a suspension this stiff being driven on bad roads (like SoCal, where I live).
I can deal with the plastic trim squeaks ... I'm used to it.
But the sound I'm having sounds like a screw or washer came off, and is rattling/banging around against metal somewhere. Its probably behind an interior panel, and me (or the dealer) will have to find which one, remove it and find it.

Today going to lunch from work, I shoved one under this plastic bracket beneath the passenger seat, which is loose and can bounce about. Seems to have made a difference. Ill give this a day and see how well it helps.
If the problem persists, Ill head to the dealer.

I have a rattle from the rear... thought it was the spare tire, nope... maybe something in the suspension, nope.. the dealer says is it something related to the gas tank and they ordered a part to fix it.

I had mine since 2009 and I now have 50,000 km. The rear rattle noise drove me nuts in the first few months I had the car. The issue was an excess of silicone/glue holding the long plastic air vent piece along the rear winshield. This problem got fixed. Nothing major since then other than random rattle around the front dash that have become ongoing over the last few months unfortunately. Great car in general but too much plastic in the interior. Hope that my new CLS63 that's coming up in May won't have the same plastic issues.

Has your service dept. talked to you more about this? My coupe has no unusual rattles or noises. Are you sure it applies to all coupes? More info would be great, if you can get it!

40 miles on my 2012 c63 coupe with development package, 2nd day driving it and noticed squeaking and rattling coming from the rear right of the car. I also noticed a rattle from the dash and my brakes squeak a low speeds.
I am going to further dig into it but it seems we all have the same issues
I love the car but come on 40 miles and rattles already?

40 miles on my 2012 c63 coupe with development package, 2nd day driving it and noticed squeaking and rattling coming from the rear right of the car. I also noticed a rattle from the dash and my brakes squeak a low speeds.
I am going to further dig into it but it seems we all have the same issues
