^^ lol Mort.. That's why ppl call them stealership! I wonder what they would say if u ask them if it's possible to take the tires/wheels to ur own wheel shop where they charge 100$ for mounting & balancing!! :P

So are you going to sell your existing winter set-up?

And did they say how long before delivery? They have no clue at my dealer except I'm first in line but could be over a month away for delivery....

 

My dealer said a few weeks but they were just guessing. I actually bought a winter package in contemplation of the car coming and before we knew about this so I'm not worried about timing. Whenever I do get this, I will sell it as it isn't needed.

 

Or, GTHL, you could ask the dealer how much more it would be if you traded the winter wheel and tire package for the black series wheels you want .

 

I fear it may be spring before they can fill the promise of AMG wheels. Tires should be no problem but I doubt they have the inventory for wheels.

 

They can't... I asked already. They bring the wheels and tires in as a warranty claim so it won't work. It won't be hard to sell these at the "right" price though and I will use that towards whatever I purchase.

You are probably right. They ordered mine but said they were backordered... who knows for how long.

 

Looks like this offer will be extended into January!

 

Tires came in couple weeks ago and wheels came in last week...getting them switched over this friday

 

I am pretty happy they are extending the tire package into Jan. My car is at the dealer now ( came in over the holiday break) and after reading this thread and another one I put in a call asking about the tire package and they said they'd do it. Now all I have to do is get some time off work so I can get the hell outta the NWT and back to Calgary to get it LOL.

 

I just heard about this being extended to Jan, anyone got a picture of the setup? Or are they the 5 spoke stockers

 

Old style 5 spoke stock wheels (fronts all around).

 

Anyone get their complementary winter wheel/tire set up yet besides drdoug?

I can't take delivery of mine without them.

 

Beautiful car Jack. I saw it yesterday (I think) when I was at the dealer.

They ordered my wheels/tires several weeks ago (before I even took delivery) and there has been no sign of them and nothing they can report. I expect it will still be some time unfortunately . They ordered my 19" wheels back in the beginning of December and only 2 of them have arrived so far. Getting wheels out of MB seems to be a problem

It was a most of the day undertaking...after I dropped off, they realized they assembled my wheels/tires w/o TPM sensors....then they realized they didn't have them in stock at their location.
However, they gave me an E-class wagon to drive for the day and I used it to take the summers across town to storage.
$199 for mount/balance/install etc.

 

The winter wheel/tire promo came with Michelin Pilot Alpin tires....same size all around.
Has anyone had these?

 

Picked up a set from Powerwheels with LM-60 tires. 18x8 ET35 all around with 225/40-18 tires.

I posted a thread on it a few months back but for some reason the search function isn't finding it and the search is also not working under my profile?

 

I had these on my M3 and they were great on cold, dry streets and not so great on snow and ice. The Bridgestone LM-60 I have on now are much better on snow and ice and not as good on dry pavement. A bit of a compromise either way.

 

Thanks to everyone for the info. I think I'm set on info for the C63. Now on to the E63... Having dealer test fit some options to be sure of caliper clearance and wheel well clearance. If by any chance anyone in this section has E suggestions please let me know!
