let me first start by saying dealing with Robert Baylor from Ultimate Pedals has been a sheer pleasure. He'll make sure you get the right product, the right finish and the right service!

I hate that our cars have a spot to rest our foot... but doesn't have an actual dead pedal to put our foot on! I found myself constantly cleaning that area of the carpet.

After taking measurements and going back and fourth with finishes... Robert came up with this for our cars.....

A perfect fit and match!!!!!!

You can use velcro or use the 4 stainless screws included with the pedal.

In the picture I used velcro... But decided since it looked so good I wanted it to be permanent and screwed it in.

I also mounted this in my C63, a few days after buying it. This is a great modification for anyone owning a C63, or any AMG that doesn't have a dead pedal.

Did you trim your AMG floor mat or going to use something else?

I have drilled into the dead step on many Mercedes, I've owned over the years, there isn't anything to worry about drilling into. And if you want a clean setup, you'll need to trim back your mat, hopefully you have rubber all weather mats, and not the OEM cloth ones.

Thread revival!

This was one of the first things I noticed when I picked up the car. I didnt notice in the test drive because I was too busy having fun!

I am going to order one of Ultimate Pedals too.

Can anyone tell me which is the matching finish for the stock pedals? Is it shiny smooth or frosted smooth?

It looks more shiny smooth to me.

The australian mats (well mine at least) dont have the dead pedal section.

Good Revival.

Any price on just the dead pedal? Maybe we can do a group buy if enough people are interested?

Also I second the question about the finish and insert

Looks like $78+

If anyone in oz is interested we could possibly save on postage.

Another thread had a poster purchasing the frosted finish but im not convinced.

Per their website

"Basic pedal sets include gas and brake (automatic) or gas, brake, and clutch (manual)
Deluxe pedal sets are the same as basic pedal sets plus a footrest/dead pedal"

The difference in price for an basic pedal vs deluxe pedal set is anywhere from $30 to $45 at most. I would assume a Dead Pedal should be had for less than $50 just based on that since the ONLY difference between a basic and deluxe set is the dead pedal.

round black rubbers do they have the same size as the factory supplied sport pedal rubber spots?
they look a bit smaller in diameter than factory stuff?

they raised their prices! I remember only paying 60 for it lol.

anyways, I went with the frosted smooth finish and flat inserts since our pedal inserts are kind of rounded but flat at top (not perfectly rounded) so I think it looks more alike from your point of view. mine does look a little mismatched with frosted smooth but you would be hard pressed to tell the dif. maybe go with shiny smooth, i just didnt pay attention to the actual pedal when I ordered

For those of you that have this installed, does yours overhang the stock position? Width wise? Rob was kind enough to send me a template of the pedal to make sure it fits in a rhd car and it overhangs about 10mm.
