I just thought I would post that I am officialy a proud owner of a new 2012 C63 AMG Coupe

I picked up my car yesterday from Downtown Benz Toronto. I've had it for about 24 hours now and just love it... I am running errands that I normally wouldn't so I can just drive it more!

I was going to wait till February/March to get it but jumped on it when they announced the free winter tires & rims special in Canada.

I used to own a 2009 C300 4Matic which I traded in when I got my new baby!
I got the premium package in Canada (passive lane, passive blind spot, command APS, Driving assistance, harman kardon sound, voice, parktronic, rear view camera and keyless go) in Obsidian Black metallic and Black/Classic Red Two Tone interior.

I just can't stop driving this thing!!!

below are a few pictures that I took with my blackberry before they put on my plates and a pic of the odometer after my first ride!

Congrats and enjoy! Only one of your pics is working though. No P31?

Why can't they package US cars like the do in Canada? :O

Looks great... this is the first coupe I have seen in Canada with the older style wheels (non split spoke). Did you order it this way or was it just the way it came?

Edit... it looks like there are other wheels in the back seat... did you get both the split spoke and the older solid spoke wheels? My first thought was the solid spoke wheels were the free winter tire package that MB Canada is giving away for December deliveries but it doesn't look like winter tires on the car.

The non-split spoke are the winter rims and the winter tires which are on the car. The tires/rims in the back seat are the split-spoke rims and low-profile performance tires.

That's awesome. My winter package hasn't arrived yet (I bought my own anyway before I knew they had the promo) but that is a great winter set up!!

Congrats! Looks awesome, and nice deal with the winter rims/tires!
I don't agree with the debadging though. Keep the badges. Debadging is for the C300's and 350's IMO.

What's the difference between the old style wheels and the new ones?

I have these wheels on mine. I think the old style wheels have the one piece spokes.

First person I have seen that has actually gotten their free winter wheel/tire package. I assume the tire size o the winter package is the same all around, but are they 4 front wheels or are the wheels staggared?

"Free"?.....Geez, they'd be worth a few dollars would they not?......No deals like that in Oz!
Cheers, Pickles.

MSRP from the dealer of around $4,500 for the winter wheels and tires so it is a GREAT deal IMO

is that a safety light on the inside of the door or is that just a camera flash reflection?

My Coupe arrives in a few days ( late delivery because P31 package and the holidays this time of year so shipping from the East coast has been delayed) but my dealer hasn't even mentioned a "winter tire package" and I could most definitely use one given the snow in Calgary. Plus I'm kind of surprised they didn't mention it since I was going to do the same as you and postpone my delivery to Feb./March given they had to push my order back by almost 2 months from the orig. delivery date to accommodate the P31. My dealer has not impressed me during this whole process...hopefully if I call and ask about it they'll include it. Did you have to ask or did they mention it to you in advance?

I think you need to take delivery in December to get the winter package which, based on your post and timing, clearly isn't possible. The other reality/downside of this is that they are backordered so actually getting a set now will be tough if not impossible before late winter/spring. Therefore, if you need winter tires (i.e. you plan to drive the car in the Canadian winter) you will end up needing to buy after market anyway as the package isn't practically available (unless you are lucky). When the package does come, you end up with two sets... they can't give you credit either as they process it as a warranty claim. Your only option is to then sell a set privately. The whole deal, although great of MB to offer, wasn't thought through well IMO.
