Hello,

Ordered the 12 C63.

Please review this and let me know if there are any obvious omissions. The sales guy wasn't the most knowledgable about c63s.

Questions:
1) its an ordered car and they swore up and down they wouldn't quote price. I made them commit to $1000 over invoice when it arrives. Add to this whatever incentives I can get when it arrives (Conquest, Loyalty etc that is worth $2,000)
Is there any more room on this price..I don't have any issue with the dealer making money...but, I don't want to leave anything in the table unnecessarily. Input please.

2) Illuminated AMG sills. Wife loves them...not on the order form he was using.
Anyone know the part/ order number?

3) 19" wheels. Possible? I read on this site that someone managed to get the dealer to order 19s with his car. Anyone offer suggestions how to do this? (sales guy didn't have a clue).

4) We ordered the development package. Is the trunk spoiler CF vs painted? (You guessed it, he didn't know)

5) Designo options. What is available of the c63? I could only find a few interior leather options...is there anything else out there I don't know about? Asked the sales guy...he had no idea.

6) Interior. In there showroom was a 2012 C63 with CF interior. The CF did not surround the shifter/ gear selector in the middle console. That area was black..looked odd. Is this some sort of super secret option to have that area CF (or ash) to match the rest of the trim or is that area always black?

7) Delivery time. Dealer said 3-4 months. Then he said it could be as little as 30 days because his dealer was the #1 AMG dealer in the world. What is realistic?

OK, how we specced it:

1) Cuprite, still deciding on the leather. Maybe Capp or porcelain.
2) Development package.
3) LSD
4) Black Ash
5) Ultimedia
6) Lighting
7) Rear Side Impact
8) Keyless Go
9) Lane Tracking
10) Parktronic
11) P1

Truly appreciate any suggestions, advice etc.

This will keep our Ferrari company

I know....I too thought it was funny. Went on and on how many AMGs they sell....blah, blah, blah. When I would ask a AMG question he had to literally phone a friend. Unfortunately his friend had the day off.

So, the questions remain unresolved until said friend (dude who does the orders) returns on Monday.

Overall, pretty typical car dealer experience.

1) I got 5000 usd off which is under invoice i believe. I think you can get more off

2) I have them on my car I'll check the number for you once i get home

3) i think 19s are an option in canada but as far as I know in America you have to order seperately

4)cf trunk spoiler is part of the p31, standard cars have paint matched trunk spoiler

6) I have the CF interior and my center area is black. I believe all cars have black center area (around the gear change). its a little annoying because it gets finger prints on it easy

Thanks everyone...appreciate the feedback.

Natman, please do share the part number for the 19s....from what I read these cars are very much under-wheeled especially with the Development Package...

Are the 19s the same wheels the BS comes with..or larger versions of the 18" wheels?

(the BS wheels are stunning)

I am googling for info on this. Best info I could find says that in CA the 19"s add $1200 to the order. A deal to be sure.

You'll have even more traction issues running 19s. They're simply for bling. The black series rims won't fit, well, I'm sure they'd rub.

the 19s have the similar multispoke look as the black series wheels. are you in canada? I *believe* it is an option there but in the usa you have to order a seperate set through your dealer.

Can someone please post pics of the 19" wheels, please?

Yes. You can probably knock at least $4,000 off.

2) Illuminated AMG sills. Wife loves them...not on the order form he was using.
Anyone know the part/ order number?

Can't help you on this one.

3) 19" wheels. Possible? I read on this site that someone managed to get the dealer to order 19s with his car. Anyone offer suggestions how to do this? (sales guy didn't have a clue).

Yes, the trunk spoiler is CF.

5) Designo options. What is available of the c63? I could only find a few interior leather options...is there anything else out there I don't know about? Asked the sales guy...he had no idea.

You can ask for other options also. You can mix and match to your liking. It will take a little longer for your car to be produced. Designo has a lot of options.

6) Interior. In there showroom was a 2012 C63 with CF interior. The CF did not surround the shifter/ gear selector in the middle console. That area was black..looked odd. Is this some sort of super secret option to have that area CF (or ash) to match the rest of the trim or is that area always black?

That's standard and normal.

7) Delivery time. Dealer said 3-4 months. Then he said it could be as little as 30 days because his dealer was the #1 AMG dealer in the world. What is realistic?

3-4 months sounds just about right.

Can you elaborate on this....you mean someone can pick from the Designo options that the Designo site say are for the other MBs....in other words, we can pick from Designo options for the S to have on the C?
