Whats it worth?
Hey
I may have a line on a '12 c63 sedan for sale. Friend of a friend bought one without father's consent... Father is now making him get rid of it... I have a E63 already, love the car. Wife mainly drives it to work as her commute is only 3 miles. prefer to keep the miles off of the car. But she's been complaining that its a tad bit big. Well, logically, the C63 is smaller, so maybe worth looking into.
Has the following packages:
140 miles, no issues.
Rear camera
Parktronic
LSD
Keyless Go
wheel lock
illuminated door sill
P31 Development Package
Comand Package
Classic Red/Black interior package
Lighting Package
Lane track package
So whats its worth? I don't want to insult the guy, but at the same time, im not willing to make up for his "mistake". Or perhaps someone here would be interested, i'd gladly pass along the deal. Who knows, maybe his wife will come around and let him keep it. Its a gorgeous car tho. the Dev Pkg just takes a bad *** AMG, one step further...

^^^Thanks man!
Z06 is 570rwhp. Just a small h/c package.
Busa made 420whp. Just found a hole the size of a pea in the charge pipe so even then, good power. Can't imagine how much more we will pick up when there is no hole and full boost.

If you want to be friendly, then try $80k. Any new C63 off the lot pretty much lose $8k to $10k on the get go. Based on the options you listed, I am guessing the MSRP was around $89k. I know that $75k was low, but this is business not charity. Therefore, start way low on your offer then work your way back up for a good deal.

$89k MSRP!? I thought the highest you could go on a sedan was around $80k. So say the MSRP was $80k - I wouldn't pay anything over $72k (10% off) for a brand new car, let alone a car that has been previously purchased. When you sell this car, the person buying it will be the third owner, so that does affect value. Also consider that you can save around 9% on European delivery without much hassle. I got $17k off (24%) on my brand new C63 in 2010, but those days seem to be gone.
The numbers above don't include sales tax, of course.
Since you are not in this for charity, pay him what he can get for the car elsewhere, plus a little more if you know he has taken good care of the car.

you are correct, this is a business, im not looking to make friends... lol...
MSRP is 83K, i have a copy of the window tag. I was thinking low 70s, then he confirmed he would entertain that sort of offer. So its a possibility. But then that also leads me to believe, would he go even as far as high 60's? He's had a call out to a couple of the MB dealers in my town and i believe they are shooting him mid 60's offers. so maybe my upper 60 offer may be appealing?

I would offer him 70k for the car. That way you won't have to pay completely for his mistake, while not jeopardizing your friendship with a low ball offer. The difference of 1-2k can mean the difference of acceptable vs. offensive. 70k for a 83k car that has 150 miles is fair, as long as he's willing to work with you on the tax part.
