This is a travesty..... how could they.
Take a look at the exhaust, I used to make fun of the IS-F's for having simulated tips. Apparently, its ok to do that on an MB now. . . . . . ?
And here we go MB, thanks for cheapening up the C63 BS even more... grrrr.
Please see attached.....

I think it looks good...I see at it as a cool design element and actually like the stacked pipes of the IS-F. As long as the cars have the ***** to back it up - which the C63 BS has in spades - that's what counts most!

A few days ago an Audi RS5 stands in front of me, same thing there
I really dislike that and did the same as faraz, I laught about the IS-Fs and the RS5s.
But now I can't do it any longer without pulling MB within it

i really like the tips on the ISF . i have the Carlsson exhaust , and it's the same way . the tips are actually bolted to the end of the frame . i thought it might look stupid when i first unwrapped it to install but once i powdercoated the tips , and installed it , i think it came out great . you wouldn't even notice it unless told to look
plus , if you have a car that can outperform most vehicles , the tips are rarely thought about

I don't want my exhaust tips to look like some 3rd party add on...

so you guys are saying that if you had a good deal on a BS , you wouldn't go for it because of the tips ? i bet a majority of you guys would never have known without this thread . you would probably be shocked with the amount of vehicles actually coming out this way now .

Let me ask you one thing. E63 has similar tips as C63 BS...Does E63 has these fake tips too?

i have no idea about the E63 but i'm just saying that i don't think it looks bad at all . like i said , most people would never notice without being told to look .

I am having a hard time accepting this and there must be a logical reason why this is done, my opinion is the surounding area is so close and tight that if the exhaust tips were connected to the (real) exhaust the heat transfer would melt or damage the surrounding area.

It's still a great car no doubt...
Oh by the way, E63 exhaust tips are not fake like these on C63 BS.

Not that it matters, but the tips are fake on the Renntech C63 too. They referred to it as "Flow-Thru" exhaust.
At least you'll never have to clean the tips.

my Carlsson exhaust is the same way . the tips are not connected to the rest of the exhaust but the exhaust still exits through the tips so they still need to be cleaned

...amusing how many people seem to dislike such minor cosmetic thing, considering how many of the same people also like to put various cosmetic crap (different wheels, vinyl wraps, LED bulb replacement, carbon fiber trim, rear wings, etc.) onto their cars, crap which also has 0 effect on car's performance or fuel efficiency or anything measurable...
