Going 1 pc wheel too? I'm also doing the switch as I got tired of the 3pcs look & maintenance. Well, u can go HRE P40SC.. But u are right, it will never be as concave as we want.

19x10+50 will be a semi-concave wheel, no matter the brand. What wheel did you have in mind?

When you get a chance, have a look at these:

Very similar to the BS 10 spoke design!

Im tired of the 3 piece assembly I think. Ive bent my outer barrel twice and its a pain to send back and fix etc. Plus the lips can get all chipped up so I always take them off prematurely for winter. Im hoping a one piece will be cheaper and I can just replace the wheel if something happens although Im not so sure if we're talking HRE P40 SC's.

Are one piece wheels significantly cheaper?

Ouch! U bent 2 outer barrels on ur 19's.. Are the roads that bad in ur area? Dont go 20's in ur case.

I feel ur pain about the 3pcs maintenance.. They look great, but not so reliable.

The P40SC are prolly more expensive than our 3pcs, but I heard great reviews about them. I went with the cheaper P40.

Yea roads here are terrible - I had to send two back just to replace the barrel at $600 each. Each time it wasn't a pothole because I avoid those well - they were actually raised grates because of construction on the highway.

And these would actually be for my next car - the F10 M5 which is why I'm looking at 20's. Wouldnt do 20's on the C63.

Depends what kind of wheels you get.
One piece are significantly stronger and slightly less expensive.
Again, this all depends on the company. The BBS FI wheels cost over $8,000 and they are 1 piece forged, the BBS LM's for example are a little over $6,000.

Yea - Im guessing if I go HRE I'll be spending even more than my current 3 piece wheels, which cost like $1300 a piece. Not a cheap hobby - but the smile Ill have is priceless.

Pat,

If you want to do a set of forged wheels in 20s for your F10 M5, you're in luck. There are various companies that would like to see their wheels on an F10 M5 and you could score a great deal.

Send us a PM if that could be something of interest for you!
