Question Oil Coolers

Hey guys

I have been looking at cooling alot the past few weeks especially with summer being just around the corner. I have had many issues with engine oil being to high to the point that the car went into limp mode a few months ago while on the track. Mercedes keep telling me to wait and wait for them to find a solution to the problem and honestly im sick of waiting and just want to take matters in my own hands and look at after market oil coolers.

I stumbled onto Fluid MotorUnion's Oil Cooler. http://www.fluidmotorunion.com/archives/4493 has anyone tried them and can offer his input?

I know vath makes a oil cooler aswell but i really dont want to deal with them again and there horrible service

Bringing back the old thread but man us 2012s and above guys are running into this. Was at the track with another C63 (2013) and both went in limp mode after our 2nd lap (not session, LAP!!!). That was very frustrating.

Does anyone have any experience with these products?

it cant be from bad installation. If it was than all your oil would leak out or your engine would seize. I conclude it just sucks.

Dads (Keith) had good luck with the Black Series coolers. If I planned to keep tracking my car, I would definitely upgrade to the BS coolers.

Subscribed. I am getting temps up to 130*C when pushing the car hard on hot days.

I thought the limp mode was due to the tranny overheating, not the engine. Anybody clarify?

What I've seen is due to engine oil temp in mine. 284 seems to be the magic number where I usually lose power to a point where the car drives like a 100hp sedan.
