To the OP, this kit would be a hit I'm sure. I personally dont really believe in "replicating" a BS and wouldnt do it, but for the tire purposes, and looks purposes...put a "replica kit" BS C63 sedan next to a stock one, and the "replica" will look absolutely off the charts ridiculous Im sure. Go for it!!! Nothing looks better than OEM, in my opinion, cleanest way to get what you want functionally without looking "modded".
I should of started my rant with "IMO" and "just my 0.02" so that roryrero wouldn't get his panties tied up in a knot and say "you're not the boss of me!"

Again what I wrote was more of a rant and my opinion of owning a great track car...came off more like a soap box speach

It really impresses me that a lot of people relate those cars as track cars.
in my opinion a automatic transmission 3900lbs car is not the definition of a great track car.

I can agree with you on this. For the price, you could easily find a more track orientated car. As for the daily fun factor though, it sure is a winner. I'd say it's a happy medium of a daily drivable sports coupe and a track car, not 100% on either end, but right in the middle.

I believe the parts are an exact replacement. All the fender bolt holes lined up. There may need to be some slight modifications to the front of the rocker panel but we'll see once its all on. I believe it should be pretty straight forward. We'll know next week.

Front fenders are an exact replacement. The front of the rocker panels will require some custom work but no big deal for Dave and his crew!!

Good point. Doesn't the GT-R weigh around 4000 lbs also?

LOL, right set up ?

Also about the GTR, haven't seen 1 car, last 30 minutes, at Sebring hot weather. Built, not built, stock whatever. They are def. capable cars for it's weight, I also have one, but useless as a track car.

C63 did low 30s on street tires, so is not THAT bad, but from there to being a track car, it's a LONG way.

It does, and trust me, is really boring car to drive at the track, despite being fast, but def. not reliable.
That's why mine is for sale. It can't do anything well in my opinion. Not a track car, not a good daily, gets old really quick.

I agree about the GTR but I disagree about the C63. You will find a C63 running sub 2:30's at Sebring later this year and thats not bad for what it is.

Yes Sub 30's is simple, if I did low 2:30s on street tires, I mean full street, not R compound.
I'm sure I can shave another 5-6 seconds on Hoosiers, that would put the car on the 2:27-2:28 range.
I did a 2:27 with the Gtr in full stock trim, and lifting on the front straight away, with passenger, as I didn't want to kill the tires or pads ( I had my track car at the day)
My opinion is that not just raw speed counts. There are tons of faster cars than my RS, but I just love how the car feels and communicate with me, and also how it stays together after thousands of track miles.
Was there last weekend on Sunday with PBOC. 95F and I threw some narrow hoosiers for the first time, and pulled a few 2:18 in the car. My car is stock, with just toe links for alignment and camber arms, to get rid of the rubber. Other than that is stock.
For that reason I really don't agree that the C63 is a capable for track duty, but don't get me wrong, I love the car for what it is and I like it better than the GTR for street use.
