I'm sure I can shave another 5-6 seconds on Hoosiers, that would put the car on the 2:27-2:28 range.
I did a 2:27 with the Gtr in full stock trim, and lifting on the front straight away, with passenger, as I didn't want to kill the tires or pads ( I had my track car at the day)
My opinion is that not just raw speed counts. There are tons of faster cars than my RS, but I just love how the car feels and communicate with me, and also how it stays together after thousands of track miles.
Was there last weekend on Sunday with PBOC. 95F and I threw some narrow hoosiers for the first time, and pulled a few 2:18 in the car. My car is stock, with just toe links for alignment and camber arms, to get rid of the rubber. Other than that is stock.
For that reason I really don't agree that the C63 is a capable for track duty, but don't get me wrong, I love the car for what it is and I like it better than the GTR for street use.
I'll agree but it sure is fun passing some Porsches etc..... Originally Posted by M3EvoBR

I would like to see what you could do with my set up as you sound like a more experienced driver.

Let me know when you will be there. I'll be over in June for instruction, and will bring the C again, see if it survives the heat, but only for a day.
It will be a pleasure.
Here is a video from the 48hs, running RA1 R comp. Me and my friend Peter on the white GT3RS, going after a few GT3Cup on slicks.
Fun times.
Very nice driving. Here's our last session over a year ago running on R888.
I'm sure you can improve on that.

Damn, that car has some power !
I guarantee you that with the video set up that car can go around 2:28 - 2:29
Nice driving, just with a little bit more seat time, you will get there.
If you allow me to say, a few points between 3,4,5 I choose to use a tighter line, I picked up some good time doing that.

i think you should cut the fender and make the vent functional
looking good though, can't wait to see the final result!

I would really like to but cutting the fender won't do any good because the inner fender liner blocks the area and the fender leads to nowhere. Big disapointment but it looks cool. Originally Posted by noodleman

Getting closer & closer! Is there a lot of modification on new BS bumper to put on old C63 body? With the BS bumper, we also need a new grill since the old grill won't fit the new BS bumper, am I right?

I'd love to see this at the track, you should come up for a track event at stratotech.
Looks great Keith
BTW I thought the lip at the bottom of the front bumper was made of carbon fibre?

The bottom lip on the front bumper and the AERO package C/F fins(winglets) are all options and sold separately. All the C/F parts for the B/S are EXTREMELY expensive and will NOT be on this car. Just to give you an idea the smallest C/F fin on the outside of the front bumper is $900 each. The next one down(fin) is $1400 each. So the two aero package fins are $2300 per side or $4600 for the four small C/F fins on the two sides of the BS front bumper. OUCH!! Originally Posted by olszowa12

The front lip was even more.

I'll keep you updated.

Keith, when do you think your BS bumper and fenders will be available for sell ??
And what about the rear fenders?

I've run into some challenges duplicating the OEM BS parts. I'm not sure its going to happen right away. If you want the BS parts soon you may have to order them from your local dealer and get original BS OEM parts. I am still looking into it.Originally Posted by CLS63 AMG

I am doing this now so everyone will know whether or not they are bolt on parts and they are for the most part. Some plastic pieces need to be trimmed and slightly modified for the front bumper to fit but its not difficult.

I believe Revozport and/or Stone Carbon will be making some BS parts that are similar to the originals.

Looks awesome Keith! Any chance there might be a version of just the bumper without the use of wider fenders?

this is going to be awesome!
