Ugh. I didn't press the "write" option since I knew I didn't have any tune files to wright. I probably will get the same error.
A real shame the directions looked nothing like the actual steps. That should have been all ironed out.
I'm sure they'll take care of our issues.

Hopefully either EC or other members (after they get theirs up and running) will post a decent walkthough or tutorial. I know I'm not even taking mine out of the box until that happens.

Depends on when you mailed him. I actually got to speak with him before he left for vacation, but if you sent it to him after then I wouldn't expect to hear from him until Monday or Tuesday.
I asked the question because I wasn't sure if he was putting the files together before he left or when he gets back.

I would have liked to take the time, but my car sits in a parking garage 1/2 block away and it is dark in there. I could barely see where to plug in the OBDII.
Also, I'd say the biggest pain was installing the software. I couldn't get it to update and it took 4 tries. I kept getting the following message:

Just an FYI to others, I kept clicking the update button to get it installed. After the 4th update I clicked on the Info button and it told me there were no more upgrades.
Clicking the upgrade button the last time seemed to erase what I had and reinstall the firmware to the handheld device.
My suggestion would be to click the info button each time after the install or upgrade is complete. Doing so should also tell you if you have the latest version or not and instruct you to install another update if you don't.

Same here. I am posting a couple pics just in case there is any confusion about the file and uploading.
You will be receiving a .MYG file and not an .FPF file as shown in the user guide.
There is no need to change the extension. When you first go to upload, you can change the extension you are looking for in the dropdown.
When you actually upload the tune you will see the note that is assigned to the tune. It may vary according to the type of tune you are getting, but should be descriptive enough that you will know which is which.
After the upload is completed you can go back to the info screen and see the tune included in the dropdown. You'll know which tune it is by looking at the note at the bottom of the MOD Files section. Mine is V3_93_Octane.

Hey Guys sorry for the delay in those that sent the vin file. Jerry lost connectivity to the internet on the boat that he was on and is working as fast as possible to catch up. (shows something about us as jerry is on a cruise ship working and I was up all night replying to emails around the globe) Most should have received their files by now and we are also shipping out more of the units today. Tracking will be emailed as they ship.

The information that I requested earlier was for our database. It helps me while I'm on vacation and away from the office.

I was under the impression that providing the earlier information would result in early tune files.

This is an awesome tool for you C63'rs!!!! As a current Subaru STi owner, we also have a programmer that's been out since 2004 called the "Cobb Accessport". In my accessport I have a 91oct map, 95oct map, Race gas map, and Gas Saver map. All my maps were protuned on a dyno with my personal car, then uploaded to the programmer. This is awesome and each one of you should have this for your car!!

I did, ran into an error at first. Reseated the obd connector and tried again and it worked!
The menu on the device is really easy to follow.
This thing is fast.. And a little louder it seems? My comfort mode seems a little out of wack. Maybe needs to re adapt.

I have one giant complaint.
I took her for a drive and got stuck in the left lane stuck at 60mph. I only had 2 opportunities to open it up.
The car pulls harder, has a little more bite to the exhaust and certainly fixed the annoying lag in the tranny.
There was one area I'd like to test more tomorrow. The shift to 5th gear felt premature, but I wasn't looking at the speedometer so I don't know where it shifted. Maybe it's just that the car needs to adapt too.
Overall, the install was easy. Lots of turning the dashboard on and off, but in the end it was all worth it. Follow the prompts. I didn't even need to look at the user guide to get it on my first try.
My car feels better than new and I think I might need to look at getting new tires sooner if I keep driving with ESP off.

i seem to be having problems. video below. is this how your guys went??? 
i got this same "run the errors" message in a different context when I got the file to Jerry initially. it was mentioned above that after the tune is written, a stock profile is available to be written. i do not have a stock profile available when I rerun it so I can only assume this was unsuccessful.

It sounded like you have keyless go. I would suggest trying it with your key.
I went through the same screens including the one that said run errors. It's possible that one of the "turn on/off dashboard" tries was at the wrong time.
Also, and this is being nitpicky, but don't turn the dashboard on until it tells you. It sounded like you did it one time while it said make sure your connected to the battery.
