Alright, that's cool, man. No one heard from you in a while so I just posed another possibility...no harm meant. That was a very generous thing you did, considering someone was just selling PL swag they got for free not that long ago.

Alright everyone, I'm the lucky winner!

Pickles, u had first dibs but I believe Jordan didn't want to send the small box to Australia for cost reason.

So I was second on the list.. And no, Jordan didn't accept my money offer.. He was very honest when he said he wanted to give them away. Thx Jordan!!

Congrats Meng, free Mod :-). By the way would that fit the 2010 key fob?

Pickles that is diassapointing. I could have got you a free one as one of my friends who receive his 2012 C63 peel the logo off. I could have swapped my old blank ones with him.

G'day Mate.
Yes, it IS disappointing.
I didn't even receive an acknowledgement even though I was first in.
In my post, which is there for all to see, I said.."What do I do etc", but not even the courtesy of a reply.
If the guy had contacted me & said he didn't really want to send it to Oz, I'd have copped it, but to give it to someone else without any contact with me, when I was Ist in line, is not the way I do things.
Regards, Martin.

Buddy, you gotta chill out a bit. It's already been given to someone else. It's just a battery cover... Whining about the situation isn't going to change anything. The reality is, you're just a random person on an online forum, so unfortunately he didn't really have any actual obligation to you. Sorry things didn't work out in your favor.

Mate, read my last post.
I don't need to "chill out", & I'm not "whining"
I'm quite aware of what it is....it's no big deal....Of course I know that it's not my property, etc etc etc.....It's the principle of what he's done that has annoyed me.
Of course he has no "actual" obligation.....however, I thought he may have had a "MORAL" one, to at least let me know what he was doing......that is what I would have done, had the situation been reversed. We call it "manners" in Oz.
Cheers, Pickles.

Ah, just as I had suspected when I mentioned adhesive backed tin logo on one of the similar threads. Maybe I should just get one of those companies in China to mass produce by stamping the logo in tin with adhesive backing. Then we can all buy them and just slap them on all our key fobs. Yes, that means all MB owners' keys will all look the same from now on.

LOL @ otakki, it's pretty amazing what the covers are going for knowing they are only plastic with an "aluminum" sticker.

Pickles, I'm sorry & feel ur disappointment.. And the "not shipping to Australia" was only my assumption, not Jordan real reason. He also mentioned that I helped him a lot in the past that's why he wants to give it to me. Nonetheless, I would personally have contacted the persons interested. Once again, sorry if I caused any problems.

Yo-

There was no harm intended. I am sorry that you feel it went down "badly". I was trying to be very nice and share with all of you. I did not realize, nor do I believe, that just because you were the first to ask, that I owed you an explanation or first right of refusal. I am a stand-up guy, care a lot about the people around me, and am very ethical as well. I just do not see where I "wronged" you?

You have been a great help to me on this forum on many topics and I know that you share a lot of info with many members, most of which you have never met. So, with that a public apology. Pickles, I am sorry that I did not respond to your "request" for the fob. I did not feel that it was warranted. There were several others members that asked for it as well, some even offering "payment" or a "perk". I just wanted to share, I did NOT contact every member that put up an offer. I just continued to POST what was happening. I feel you are being way too hard on me and the process by which I decided to share.

If it means that much, you can have MINE!!

I asked my dad (the parts director) and the sales manager that sold me my car and they said it came with the car. It came in a bag with everything for the car, keyless go button, manual, keychains, etc. Maybe it has something to do with the performance package...

I have a 2006 CLS55 AMG. Do I have to buy a new key and buy this seperate, or can i just buy the piece and put it on my current key?

Can I buy it at the dealer or does someone have an extra to sell?

I'm petty sure this only fits the new keys with the 3 separate buttons.

^^ Wow, can you share which dealership or ebay link you got them for 25$/set?

The link I found was 105$ + shipping.
