Just installed H&R springs a couple weeks ago. 17mm rear pads. Love the drop! Need to get some better pics though...

I can have two adults in the rear seats without rubbing the tyres.

The fenders haven’t been rolled but I did cut away some of the inner lining (felt like material) to stop it rubbing against the inside of the tyre and I had a body shop slightly massage the fenders to give an extra 5mm clearance for the outer side of the tyre.

As you can see from the photos the massage is so minor it’s impossible to pick that the fenders have been touched at all yet it gives enough clearance for the tyre to slip up inside the fender lip.

It also helps that I have the coilovers at a fairly hard setting.

The car isn’t a daily so the firmer ride doesn’t bother me.

I can't decide on springs! Every time I do a search on this forum I come up with a bunch of posts on how the car get be aligned properly after, it pulls to the right, and the inner tires wear. My car actually sits really nice stock with the factory 19s but I'd like the front end to have a C hair less gap than it does now, so I'd do the 17mm pads with it. I just don't know if its worth nit picking over if it's going to come with negatives. Are any of you not chewing through the inner front tires?

I've only had the springs installed for a few weeks but after an alignment, the car tracks straight. No issues with pulling to the right. Haven't checked the tires for wear yet though. Lots of happy owners with H&R springs.

I guess it's like reading reviews on a website before buying a product, everyone takes their time to post a negative review if they're dissatisfied but no one remembers to come back to give praise. It's just when I search h&r most the threads are "problem" threads.

It sounds like they ride fairly nicely but would they be an improvement on handling versus a non performance package 2012? Aside from the lower centre of gravity, are they stiffer through a corner?

One more question, I read that people think they're more floaty than the p31 springs but how are they compared to the non p31 package cars? I don't really care if it's more rigid/bumpy but I don't want it to corner/roll any worse.

Coupe and sedan springs are different, correct? Trying to order online and they're telling me there is only one part number for both cars

Based on H&R's website, same part number for both. I believe coilovers are different for coupe and sedan (shocks are probably the differentiator)

29028-1 seems to be the part number.

I haven't noticed any reduced performance when cornering or any additional body roll. But to be fair, I haven't put the car through its paces yet (I plan on taking it on some back roads next week once I get the car aligned). They do ride way nicer than the stock P31 (not sure if there's a difference between P31 vs non-P31 suspension) springs. As far as alignment goes, I'm taking my car in for an alignment next week so I'll report back in then. The car pulls very slightly to the right and I only need to keep one finger on the wheel to keep the car going straight at highway speeds. Like @gtracer said, the part number for both the coupe and sedan H&R sport springs is 29028-1. Let me know if you have any more questions about the springs and I'll try to answer them as best as I can

Interesting, I have non p31 so if you didn't notice with p31 than I def shouldn't have. I'm wondering if people on here are simply notice their cars pulling on typical roads that are crowned to prevent water from pooling. Even my stock lowish mile car appears to pull to the right on the road if I take my hand off the wheel, it's just a slight drift. I never would have thought about it before this thread. I'd like to hear back on what they were able to do with your alignment, it sounds like our cars can't be adjusted for camber but just for toe, which i think would just help keep it driving straight rather than weird tire wear from camber. I keep going back and forth on springs, I really want to get rid of some gap in the front but I'm worried I'm just going to start cooking through front tires if the insides of tires wear out after lowering. I just went with 245/35/19 ps4's on the front and that added width makes them sit a bit more flush but I also notice how much fender gap I have now and it drives me crazy. I guess the worse that happens is I hate them and go back to stock but what a waste of a thousand bucks.

Every time I do mods on any of my vehicles I am always a skeptic and I hate giving myself a placebo effect. That being said, I decided to do some spirited driving today and it felt like body roll was reduced. I have no clue how that is possible, but it definitely feels more planted in the corners. I can't tell if I'm giving myself a placebo effect. But, I am taking the car on a drive through Mines Rd & Hwy 130 next week so more to come then. As far as the pulling to the right goes, it definitely pulls to the right because of the need for an alignment. In the very left lane with a crown on the road it pulls slightly to the right.

Once I get the alignment done, I'll post the specs up and see if I need crash bolts and IIRC, there is someone who makes a part to adjust camber? If I find the part, I'll edit this post.

EDIT: Found the part https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...ml#post6651166

EDIT 2: Also, here's the part # for the crash bolt 0003331071

I ended up throwing the springs in with with my wavetrac purchase today, if worse comes to worse I can go back to stock and sell them. I just can't stand my bit of front wheel gap right now, for some reason the car just doesn't look right to me witth the new tires. I'd like to go kw v3 but I've spent a lot of money on this car in the last month on rounding together some mods for it. I'm hoping at least with those other bolts I can get it tracking relatively straight. Keep us posted on your findings too

Got the C63 aligned today, it tracks straight but I definitely want to correct the camber. I initially thought it was still pulling to the right, but it is just following the crown of the road now.

Let's see all the c63's on H&R springs (or anything)-dcjwpigl.jpg

Any idea how many crash bolts I need and where do I put them? I saw a thread on here dedicated to that so I might just post there as well.
