HRE Wheels RennTech Throttle Body & Air Box HELP?
Hello friends,
My neighbor just sold his 2011 E63 (says he got bored with it)and is waiting on his new M6 to arrive.
So, he wants to sell me his:
-HRE (IDK what model these are, I attached a pic) wheels and tires.
They're 19" and have about 4K miles on them (Michellen Pilot Sports w TPMS)
-Renntech Throttle Body 4K Miles
-Renntech Carbon Fiber Airbox 4K Miles
He's asking me for $9,200. What do you guys think??
(Keep in mind, I don't question the mileage or authenticity of these items bring that he lives around the corner from me and I talk to and see him very often.)
I figured I'd ask being that I am not really a veteran when it comes to these mods and upgrades though...

He also has a SuperSprint full Exhaust System (front to back, he said he paid around $20K for it), but I don't think it's compatible w/ the C63. However, if you know anyone who's in interested in that, feel free to chime in

First of all, throttle bodies do NOTHING for this platform, absolutely nothing. Can you find me a dyno run before and after installing throttle bodies showing any gains?..you wont find any.
Second, the asking price of 9k is extremely high for used productsnand you could probably get all those items new for the same price if you got a good discount rate.
Third, this dude is a complete liar. I have the Supersprint full Exhust system on my C63, and it certainly did not cost 20k.

I tried to talk him out of buying the 2011 and waiting for the 2012 Bi-turbo model but he didn't listen.

I have to agree with Jacob502, don't spend your money on the throttle bodies or air box. You may actually lose low end torque with them. Never proven to gain anything.

HRE P47sc. The seller is cool with me mounting them and taking for a ride before purchasing, so I guess we'll see.
