2015 C63 Test Mule?

Flared rear arches and at the lower rear doors...for more meat
Rear track looks alot wider

Black series style front fender.....looks like the entire front end is longer (look at the entensions at the top of the hood and between the front door jam and front fender)...longer wheelbase to differentiate from the CLC maybe?

I would think thats way too close to the 2012's to be a 2015 - maybe a 4dr BS in development?

I doubt it. Isn't the BS a track oriented car?

Looks like a regular old C63 to me, with some aftermarket front bodywork.

The interior pic is not from that car. It's from the spy pictures of the new C-Class that were posted on some other blogs.

I see the extensions youre talking about - interesting...maybe testing the M157 in the current chassis? We can speculate about so much!

Looks like MB is thinking about installing a larger tach in the dash. That would be nice.

Arches don't look any bigger than OE, front fenders do not look like BS either. I agree, looks like regular old C63.

Larger tach would be nice! I say swap locations of the speedo and tach like Mitsu did in the Evo.

Front end is longer, you can see the spacer they have between fender/door and hood/a pillar. M157 would be nice.

That's what i said in the first post....

and as you couldn't notice this either, look at the flare in the rear door (where the red arrow is) and look at the offset of the rear wheel in relation to the back fender....wider track

you can see the flared body line carry across the lower door in the pic below

very sharp, wider rears and the bumper looks hot!

I hope they bring out the options that the private lounge survey discussed!! my wallet is ready. would any of you consider a coupe cabrio in the new MY? I think if the added weight wasnt too much, I would get a convertible hard top. with all of the windows down and sunroof open, the sound is amazing.

Could also be the current car with a different aero package. The recent survey I did asked about whether I would be interested in a more aggressive aero/styling package. Otherwise, this car is way to close to 2012 to be a 2015.

Probably unlikely, BS has always been 2 door in the past... Looks good though!

Current BS front end - the thing that I would be interested in is the Distronic MB star in the grille.

Here's a quote from the article:

"Heavily disguised prototypes for the next-generation Mercedes-Benz C Class are already out in testing, so it’s not unreasonable to assume engineers are also working on the eventual high-performance AMG variant.

Today we have spy shots of what’s likely to be a test mule for the next C63 AMG, which should join the rest of the new
C Class range in showrooms in late 2014 or early the following year.

Though it may look like
the current model, a slightly longer wheelbase and wider track confirm that this is no ordinary C63 AMG.

Hidden beneath the sheet metal of this test mule will be the new model’s powertrain, which is expected to switch to AMG’s latest twin-turbocharged 5.5-liter V-8 instead of the current model’s naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter V-8. The smaller engine, which develops up to 571 horsepower in some guises, is not only more powerful than the old 6.2-liter mill, but also produces significantly more low-end torque and is more fuel-efficient to boot.

In the new C63 AMG, expect output to at least match the 457 horsepower of the current model. While fans may be hoping for more power, performance should still be improved thanks to a lighter overall structure. Like the
2013 SL Class, the new C Class will almost certainly benefit from plenty of aluminum--and perhaps some composite--structures in its construction. 2015 Mercedes-Benz C Class spy shots
Of course, a Black Series variant is likely to be launched further down the track to quell the demands of the power-hungry. A coupe variant and possibly a new convertible version will eventually be launched as well.

Drive will be sent strictly to the rear wheels for all models either via a seven-speed automatic or dual-clutch transmission. An AMG DRIVE UNIT will allow owners to modify many of the vehicle’s settings, from the speed of gear shifts to the suspension stiffness.

As we are still in the very early stages of development many of the details may change as we approach the car’s debut in late 2014, so stay tuned for updates."
