My ADV1s are here! + TPMS question

alright guys, the big day has come.
Finally got a chance to measure the wheels today.
using the same caliper, I measured first the hub, then the bore of the wheel.
The hub came out to 2.615 inches or 66.421mm
the wheel came out to be 2.635inches, or 66.929mm
do you guys think this could be the problem? The wheel is .5mm off of the hub. and the back wheel was even closer, i think around 2.625.
sorry to keep everyone waiting, I literally just had time to do this, been busy as hell. Hope someone can shine the light.
Either way, I will talk to ADV about sending the wheels back and getting them checked...because either way, it is still vibrating pretty noticeably at 80+

I wouldn't think this would be an issue. One thing I find is how the wheels have different bores. Where is the quality control?

•The use of high quality parts and assembly procedures. Through years of trial and error, and lessons learned we've come to realize that cutting corners and costs can cost more in the long run. Inferior, inexpensive parts and materials can and will lead to problems. All parts, finishes, sealants and procedures used by ADV.1 are chosen with no regard to cost, or profit margins.
•A strong, well organized dealer network. ADV.1 sells only to our network of authorized dealers whom are hand chosen, educated and experienced. We support our dealers 100% to ensure excellent customer service. There are No direct sales of our product line to customers. Please notify the nearest dealer for pricing information, if they do not carry the line please have them contact us immediately..
To summarize, ADV.1 is essentially hand built for our customers. Our long history and experience will ensure a perfect performance product for each application. Feel confident you are looking at the very best the industry has to offer and we would be proud to welcome you to the ADV.1 family.

You want to comment on HRE quality and customer service - you should because you own the product and have knowledge of what you speak of. But that argument has no relevance to the OP's issues, nor does it help him in anyway.

anyone else have any ideas if that can be the cause?
In any case taking up ADV1s offer to have the wheel checked out because at the end of the day they are vibrating. Hopefully they can compensate somehow too lol.
I guess I will have to rock shredded tires for a while

Definitely let them check the wheels.. It could be anything structural, hard to guess. It sure will be a pain to ship them back though.

wow! still going?
so they never replaced them even??
do not recall mentioning it but: when I didn't like the SIZE of my rears, HRE simply made another
set of rears........
this really makes me NEVER want to use adv1.....and always think/speak poorly of them

I think ADV has been very good with me so far, they were always the first to contact me to follow up. the only disappointing so far was the vibration in the wheels themselves

It's funny when I get into an argument with someone who hates on ADV.1 I always find out later the person never had the wheels and has no first hand experience in evaluating the quality, customer service, or any relevant issue to the OP at hand.

You can reuse the OEM TPMS Sensors only but you cannot reuse the original valvestems from the factory wheels. Well you can but there is an extremely high chance the wheels will leak from here. They use crush rings to seal the stem against the wheel and are recommended for one time use.

well they already offered to take the wheels back and take a look, I just wanted to check it myself first.

update:
Jordan called me and said the wheels are reassembled and they should be good to go. I asked them if I could exchange them straight up for a set of monoblocks, just because I dont want to deal with 3 piece any more and I should get some financial compensation for the trouble I went through with these wheels (shouldn't i expect fully functional wheels from the get go for 4k?). Right now he said they will try to work something out with me since its not in their warranty policy to exchange wheels like that.
Anyways he said they can offer me to take my wheels back n pay the difference for monoblock, but I will email them again and try to work something out.
Does anyone think I'm being unreasonable of wanting some extra compensation since these wheels didnt work right away?
I'm just so tired of dealing with the wheel problems

I'd return them all together. Move on to a new company, sounds like nothing but headaches in the future. they didnt look that great anyways (too small).

Change them for monoblock forged by all means.. Straight trade, add a bit of money or getting compensation (which is unlikely). I bet with u ur 3pcs original wheels will vibrate again soon or later.

2. They told you the wheels are reassembled but what does that mean? What was the problem? How was is resolved? How do we know it won't recur?
3. If done right, 3 piece wheels should not be a problem. They look way better than monblocks imo so if the qustions I stated are answered, I would take a chance on the 3 piece.
4. Monoblocks are definitely less problematic and if that's what you need for peace of mind, by all means go for that. But I wouldn't give in on what I want and purchased initially. You really want to have an effect, post your issue on www.luxury4play.com
That is the forum where most people are completely fans of ADV1. If they lose those guys it will hurt. They need to see a post from a real guy who has had problems. If it were me, I'd post every where. The internet is your biggest weapon.
I don't say this because I have a problem with ADV1. I have not purchased any wheels from them. My issue is the many dealers out there who provide poor customer service after getting our money. I hate that crap. I have sworn off paying for wheels long distance. I bought my last set local and can't be happier. If something went wrong, I would be at there doorstep every day until they fixed the problem. Can't do that long distance and it is a factor in the poor service of wheel dealers.
With all that being said, maybe it is best to cut your loss and take the monoblocks just to end this debacle.
