Extended Warranty Costs for my 2009 C63 AMG
===========================================
Eric…these prices are for a C class with Mercedes…not an AMG. Yours IS a C63 correct?
Not sure who gave them to you, however, I am looking at the pricing now and those prices are for the first level vehicles, i.e. C, CLK, GLK and SLK. The AMG’s are 3rd level.
The pricing I gave you is Mercedes Benz pricing for their own New car warranty.
It does include a 15% surcharge they charge that I would be willing to pay for you plus an additional $100.00 off for the internet special we are running…
So, the 3/75,000 miles through MERCEDES BENZ would be $3499.00 opposed to the original quote of $4125.00
I hope this helps.
Thanks for at least giving me the opportunity to help.
Have a great day!

I'm pretty certain but I have to ask you. Was your quote for an AMG or an entry level C?
e
No thats what I paid for my C63 Amg. I don't own an entry level C series.
all are for 3 years:
75k miles $3499
100k miles $4999
125k miles $6199
Does anyone know if I have to get the ELW before the original warranty expires. I think I only have a week left! Thanks!
What about the required inspection? How do you guys do that if your buying it from another dealer....

There are several dealers across the US who make a decent amount of extra $ by selling the ELW to folks out of their region at a discount compared to most other dealerships.Someone please correct me if I'm wrong and there are exception cases...

Still, not able to find out anything about a required inspection...
Can someone who bought ELW (excluding time of purchase) confirms the mandatory inspection?
Roswell, are you taking the plunge on the ELW? I'm thinking of skipping the ELW since it's not my daily driver and will likely be putting at most a few thousand miles on it each year.
I'm only worry about the head bolt issue, but not sure what km or time lapse it could fail. I got a friend who had a 2008 with 28 000km & no problem & another one with a 2010 at 20 000km no problem as well. They are having me thinking now.
MB requires that you still be under a factory warranty (New Car or CPO) in order to get the ELW. The point is that they're still liable for weird issues while you're under warranty, so if there's something wrong, it'll get fixed on their dime either under the New Car warranty, the CPO warranty, or the ELW which you are hoping to buy.
I've never been told an inspection was necessary at any time while shopping around for an ELW in the past. And I've called as far away as NY (I'm in CA -- and made it clear to them that I'm definitely not local).
