Well one of them is still my profile pic to be honest. That will at least give you an idea. And plus I don't want your gf thinking I'm hitting on you by sending personal pics of myself to you. Hah. Then she might try to run me over with your car. That might be a little tough to out run... :p

So I'm guessing I'll be adding a little more than $50 to the car someday?

Hi Jean Valjean! And thank you! I am all over the place when it comes to the type of doctor I want to become. In a nutshell as of this moment I would have to say Interventional Radiology or maybe Neuro IR? Hah I guess we'll see. And yea, I honestly feel privileged and lucky to be able to have this car at this age. My parents are very generous for doing this and I am trying my very best in school and in my character in return to not disappoint them. I agree with it being an "all-around sporty vehicle". I felt that it wouldn't be as numbing as driving an IS-F but not so involved as driving an M3. It is the best of both worlds.
As for the LSD I think I am going to end up ordering it. I have a tendency to hit corners pretty fast so it might help in that regard. But I have a question in terms of the fluid maintenance. How much work is it? I'm guessing a dealer visit but is it covered under warranty or the prepaid service? Also how often and how will I know that I need it? Sorry for all the questions. But thanks so much for your input on the LSD, it was very insightful

You are very fortunate to be able to drive a C63 at this stage in your life. It truly is a great car to have for an "all-around sporty vehicle".
My first C63 did not have LSD, but my current C63 has LSD. The newer car feels a lot more planted than the older car while accelerating thru a turn. This is likely safer and is more efficient with the LSD. Without LSD it seems so much easier in breaking traction in all of the lower gears. This, while not efficient, is a lot of fun. Without LSD you do not have to worry about the LSD fluid maintenance. So depending on what you prefer, ordering LSD is likely a personal choice. I remember the excitement when I first spec'd a C63 in 2008, and even more so when it finally came to the dealer, and drove it for the first time. FUN TIMES! Take the time to enjoy it!
Cheers!

i don't think the services are included not like the BMW's (but i haven't bought a new car in ages so not sure if MB does free maintenance, etc for x months).

anyways, good luck with school and enjoy your new car in good health.

*OT: you said your mom is pinay, have you visited the phils lately? always good to see a kabayan here ;-)

Hi mgbrillo! Yea I don't think they are either, but I am thinking of buying their prepaid package since I know I won't have enough knowledge to take care of the car and my dad is getting old so I don't want him to have to worry too much about it also.

Thank you so much for your well wishes! School is killing me and this forum is my way of detox

Yes both my parents are pnoy. We are actually from pampanga in the PI. And I haven't been in about 4 years. haha. But it was a fun experience with all the fresh buko juice. It was very nice meeting another pinoy on here too. Take care kuya!

Hi Dogtag114! Your comment actually made me laugh. Kinda scares me that I may sound like a guy? But I can promise you I am 100% girl. I just like cars a little too much for my own good, especially for being a girl

Hi Karl 901! Haha I wish those were my lips. That piece in her mouth is actually a Chanel earring I think. Funny story though, I tried remaking this when I came home from school over the weekend as I have the same earrings. Yea, I almost swallowed them

2013 C63 coupe PP31......BMW 330

Hi everyone! My name is Shaina, I am a long time lurker and finally decided to create an account today. I am ordering my C63 coupe next month and just wanted to get some of your input on the car and the European Delivery experience, so here I go!

1) I am ordering the P31 package for the car but I was wondering if it is necessary or somewhat important to have the LSD as well. They keep telling me that I probably won't need it since I don't plan on tracking the car but I still wanted to see what you guys think.

2) I am ordering the car diamond white with a porcelain/black interior, and was wondering how difficult it would be, in terms of maintenance, the inside and outside would be. Like I am hesitant to order the porcelain because I know it's on the white-ish side (never actually seen it yet), but it looks so pretty in terms of color combo with the diamond white and I can't really resist. So if you guys have any experience/input/tips with the interior and exterior that would be great.

3) Also if there are any other girls with this car, have you gotten any interesting reactions out of curiosity? I asked for a insurance quote and my insurance company asked, why am I getting a boys car? Hah I thought that was interesting.

4) Also I plan on leasing the car but in case I decide to buy it what kind of residuals have you guys been seeing on the car? My total came out to $83,550 but was able to bring it down with european delivery to $72,550. It will probably be a 3 or 4 year lease. I am not sure which number would be more relevant to figure out the residual so I just wanted to put all the numbers I know out there.

5) For those of you who did the european delivery with the black forest alps package what did you think? Was it pretty easy to navigate through Germany? Like easy to find a gas station? Also around how much should I plan on spending on gas? I heard it is like $8.00/gallon?

6)Another side note, it's just me and my mom going so she wanted me to ask if the areas we are going to stay at and pass through are not too shady. Especially since we have to take a taxi and such from the airport.

Sorry that came out a lot longer than I thought it would. But thanks so much in advance and I am really excited to join the AMG family. I've been waiting since I was 11 and now finally 13 years later it seems like it will finally come true. Take care all
hi Sha1na !!! congrats on the car!!!......you said you are gonna order Next month? did they say that you are gonna make the Mid Nov build? and Deliver Dec/Jan ?

Exciting to know there are a lot of pinoys on here! That is always good to hear
Sorry I wasn't sure what to call you especially because I kinda got slammed by my relatives since I've been ditching the "ate" title and I guess that is disrespectful? haha. Because like you I feel old when they call me that. Especially the ninang thing. ughh... let's not go there. But haha thanks for letting me call you kuya... you are my kuya right becuase i'm 23 turning 24 in like 2.5 weeks so im guessing you are a little older?

Oh yes nothing is better than fresh buko juice in the PI! And no I am not down with balut... How about crispy pata or sisig? haha. Take care

I was in Paris visiting my aunt when she offered balut. I couldn't remember what it was but it sounded familiar so I was like what the heck. Then I remembered a little late. It's not for everyone, but it is an interesting experience to have once in your life.

*sisig - got me some this afternoon, was craving for pinoy food so I drove about 20 mins (1 way) to get me some dinuguan, sisig and menudo.. i'm set for the next few days! haha

CoolD - i grew up eating it so no biggie.. now here in the states, kind of, have to go to some asian grocery to get some.. i don't 'crave' for it though, sometimes when i see it i'll get a few.

*just a few months back, kind of the traditional hotdog eating contest in NY, they started to have a balut eating contest. the winner got 9 baluts in 2 mins!

The LSD is a must. The car has more than enough TQ to break the back end loose even with the ESP on. (With the OEM undersized tires the C63 is the ultimate drift machine. You will develop a close relationship with your tire dealer.) The LSD on the MBZ is a wet clutch pack type. Therefore the friction material wears out over time and is deposited in the differential fluid. I beleive MBZ recomends changing the fluid every 30K. Too bad you're leasing. If the car was a long term keeper I would get a Quaife LSD aftermarket which uses automatic torque biasing (ATB) helical gearing. They don't wear out like clutch packs and provide better torque balancing.

Duane is right, in fact the current OEM LSD is only 30% lock vs. 100% from aftermarket. However, I will still get it anyway just because it is OEM and I am too lazy to mod.

Wow I would have never guessed that Paris would have balut. And is balut popular in the vietnamese culture as well? I think I will have to try it one day. I mean I have tried ostrich and water buffalo, how bad can it be?

Cool! Mmm... Sisig, probably one of the main culprits as to why filipinos are at a higher risk for heart disease. haha. I mean between the pork fat and the frying, it doesn't get much better than that! Well except again for crispy pata, but that is just as bad. And love love love that you are a foodie! I would do the same thing if I had to. I love menudo except I pick out the liver since I don't like the texture a whole lot. But dinuguan is another acquired flavor I haven't acquired. haha. I try though.

And seriously 9 baluts in 2 min?... wow. that is kinda crazy.

I wouldn't mind going aftermarket especially if I was 100% sure I would keep it forever. The main reason I am leasing is because i am so indecisive and also I am young. So who knows where I am going to be in 4 years? But nonetheless I think I am just going to order the LSD. I think I haven't found 1 person on here to tell me otherwise and I trust you gentleman very much in that regard. So yea at least this will balance out my fib about the P31 being a "safety precaution". Thanks for your advice DuaneC63

Sheep! Yes I am somewhat lazy to mod because I don't know any shops that i would or could trust with it. So that just deters me. But for sure I am going to get it especially after Duane's description of the back end coming off even with ESP on. That was graphic in an interesting kind of way and that sold me. haha. Hope all is well with you

Hello Das Geld 2,

I find sheep to be a nice and informative guy if that is what you are saying. Also why does it really matter if I am fat or not? Usually I would try to defend myself in that regard, but for once I won't. You seem so set in your superficial ways in judging me by all the derogatory names that have already been mentioned in the post. Also maybe not now but I can guarantee you that someday (maybe even soon) someone here will be able to vouch for me that I am not a fat cow. Anywho I hope you have a very blessed day
