Hello all, ordered a 2013 C63 coupe
Hello, I am a long time lurker back to the days when I had an e92 M3. I eventually sold that and got a Cayman R. Love the Cayman but I now have a 4 month old so I needed a performance car with a back seat. Naturally a C63 AMG came to mind. Put a downpayment to hold an incoming car: Iridium with carbon fiber dash and the Designo red black interior.
Question for those who have done this: I will be getting the 18 inch 795 wheels on the car. Is going up a size to 245/265 a no rub issue? I am looking at PS2's for a size upgrade. Has anyone noticed an improvment going up to this size? Thanks in advance. Looking forward to driving this beast.

The dealer called-the new beast has arrived!!!
My dealer called to say that the new beast is here and waiting for me to pick up in Dallas. It will be a long week waiting until I can get down there... this will be hard.

The dealer had an allocation that they had already spec'd out. I changed a few items and signed the order on 10/11. The car was delivered to the dealer last weekend. So about 7 weeks from the locked in build sheet date to getting the car. The problem right now I think is finding a dealer with a C63 allocation. My local dealer was not interested in selling me a car???? I think it was too much bother chasing down other dealer's allocations.

No, I didn't get any done with production notice but also didn't ask for that info either.

2013 P31 C63, 2014 Bluetec ML, 2004 GT3
same color choice as my 2013 sedan
iridium silver
black/red + carbon fiber
dev pack
lsd
etc.
great car.
not sure you will need to upsize the tires once you get a feel for the car. the c63 is surprisingly sharp, very easy to throttle steer and turns in nicely. great daily driver. but definitely no porsche when it comes to a visceral connection.
i suspect your cayman r is a lot like my gt3. very direct and lively.
let us know your thoughts once you get past the first 1000 miles.
