Suspension
Hi peps,
Is there a real différence on the car If ou change the spring or the coilovers?
I go sometimes on the racetrack and would like to know If i change the spring only, the car will be better or its just placebo as the original suspension Is already good?

I had the stock suspension and then changed to springs (H&R -20mm).
I haven't noticed any difference in the handling but the car looked much better.
A month ago I changed the springs to H&R Coilovers and it's a night and day difference.
Much less body roll and the car is much stiffer.
The ride quality is rough but I presume You have amazing roads in Luxembourg
You can buy the H&R Coilovers for a good price here:

Bilstein makes the dampers on the H&R coilovers. Whatever compromises that were made in tuning the performance/ride comfort ratio on the H&R's were the right ones...they are right up there with a tune as the biggest bang for a buck items for the C63. IMHO.

Can You post a link where You can buy them online?
KW DDC is expensive and it is only in the testing phase on Jycke's C63 AMG Estate - here is his thread:

Of course she is Polish - we have the most beautiful women in the world and someone who has such great taste in cars (Black Series) has to have good taste in women as well
I was born in Gdansk and am living here at the moment - Gdynia, Sopot and Gdansk belong to the Tricity area

Haha I knew You would ask that.
Let's say they improved since 2006 but they are still terrible.
There are not that many potholes but the roads are wobbly, rough and with coilovers they make me cry when I drive my car.
And Gdansk is the worst in the Tricity area.

The Bilstein B16 is only available for the normal W204 ... not for the C63!
I got the KW V3 installed this year. My C63 was at the KW factory in
Germany for the install and setup of the coilover kit - truly amazing
It's really a night and day difference to stock.
You can switch from softer than stock to nearly undriveable stiff ...

With the spring -20mm and your wheels in 19" nothing touch? Even when you turn completely your steering wheels?

I just put the HR coil overs on. (Props to James at AGC for the install.) Nice drop, nothing too radical. Ride a bit stiffer but fine for the street. I'm on stock 18"s, no rubbing. No additional suspension noise. The only other things I added where camber bolts in the front and adjustable camber links on the rear (just found out about it so had them put it on). If you don't plan on tracking your car, I think the HR's are fine. If you're thinking serious track time I think KW V3 are a better option.

at -20mm You will not get any rubbing with stock 19 wheels.
Now my coilovers are set up at -40mm now and my front wheels rub the fenders sometimes but that's because I have 10mm spacers in the front.
Just look on eBay - i don't think You will find them cheaper than 2150 EUR.
KW has special rear springs for the Estate version. Look at the links below.

My C63 came with the Yokohama Advan Sport tires, they have a
wider sidewall compared with the Continental Sport Contact 3 ...

That's weird because I had H&R -20mm springs for a year with my stock 19" and I used 15mm spacers in the front and 10mm spacers in back.
Tires: Pirelli PZero 235/35/19 and 275/30/19
No rubbing whatsoever.
