im really starting to hate these. a friend of mine had a c250. the other day i drove by her and she had quad exhaust, same diffuser, wing, and 63 hood. she debadged the car as well...i felt like saying something but i didnt want to bother. its just getting quite annoying

if she debadged the car and it has all the mods you say , why don't you post pics instead of complaining about it . you know , some people would say blue tips would look better on a Honda than a Mercedes but maybe i'm just "annoyed" .
with friends like you , this girl doesn't need enemies .

dont worry they wont ever sound as good or be as fast :p
but to be honest as long as they dont badge it that way, I think its fine. I mean quad exhaust and diffusers are not only limited to AMG models

Shake it off
When I see what I think is a faker, I always look at the brakes. That is a sure giveaway for me.
In the end, we know what we've got under the hood and at the corners, and that is all that counts. The fakers know they have a nice car, but perhaps not as nice as us. They have to live with that every day.

I never let that ridiculous stuff bother me. I have seen the silliest mods done to a car (and not just to M-B's) to make it seem up market when it's not.

I still get pissed when I see posers. A poser is one that badges the car C63. I posted a similar thread, search C300 AMG. That car was badged an AMG on trunk and 6.3 AMG on front left/right. At the end of the day, we all know we have own but still stirs my pot.

C63 AMG
No different than my friend who flaunts his fake watches and calls me out because I paid full price for the real thing.
Don't be annoyed that they can't afford what you can, be happy with what you have. Besides, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery!

Tons of AMG wannabes out here. However I believe that if its just modded to look like one without badging that's ok in my book. As long as she doesnt sit there and try to pass it off as one verbally I really dont care either way. Women that mod their cars or have a need to mod their cars is a turn on for me.

Not everything is "you get what you pay for," but there's something to be said about genuine craftsmanship. Example, my Omega isn't the priciest watch on the market, but it is extremely well-made and of high quality. A watch repair guy told me that the design of the automatic movement is actually better than some Rolexes and Breitlings on the market.
There are very few knock-offs of watches, purses, etc. that are actually quality and durable.

Hah this is kind of funny because when I asked a dealer about a used C63 that had been sold I guess he assumed a new C63 was out of my price range so he suggested that I get a C350 coupe, add a carbon fiber lip, badge it as an AMG and just throw on a quad exhaust, "basically the same thing" (his exact words). So I told him I honestly love the exterior yes, but I am more interested in the engine since I love the way a C63 roars. Before he could say anything else I asked him, "So are you going to suggest an engine swap at this time too?" I found it really interesting how this dealer was asking me to be a poser, I actually mentioned that to him as well but he couldn't answer me coherently at that point. I am guessing he said all this because I am a girl but that's just me, I can't even imagine him telling any of you guys this.
Nothing against posers, it's whatever your flavor is, but at least I know what I got

Omega and Britlings both use ETA movements..... A rolex with an ETA movement and slight downgrade in material quality is called a tudor.
Rolex is in house movement.. After owning all the above, I sold my Omega speed, and currently only have a breitling and rolex, both are similar accuracy but the rolex has a longer power reserve.
