Congrats on the numbers. Very impressive.
I know everyone knows this but I am so happy that MB decided to have the new AMGs with TT.
It takes so much money and dedication to get an NA AMG in the 10s whereas a tune only with downpipes on a CLS63 will get you there (and still under warranty with friendly dealers).
Renntech is supposed to have a CLS running in the 9s early next quarter.

These motors are overbuilt from the factory so I would imagine the engine will last as long as...well as long as a piece of string.

We have made over 700 HP at the wheels with a completely stock engine and we have taken apart several M156/M159 engines that have had hard miles on them, and we are always impressed to see how strong they are built. Our calibrations run these engines very safe and consistent and that is the key to keeping an engine alive.

Our Stage 3 Supercharger System makes about 630 HP at the wheels, and 555 Lb FT Tq at the wheels on 91 octane fuel. Please see the graph below. Thanks.

What track was this done at? Yas Marina? Any data on DA? Great time of year to run at that track especially at night. If the weather reports are correct for that area its close to 0 DA at 9:30PM.

Thanks. Congrats. Very respectable time. If he was running an ice tank why didn't he run ice?

What do you figure is the price tag on this application? About 26K not including labor?

We asked the same thing. It is a lot to remember when you are at the track racing and ice definitely helps. Next time out they will make a few adjustments and hopefully see some gains.

Yes that is good estimate of the total cost.

Hello Jim,

DA was around +670. Therefore its still a positive DA. Traction was a main problem. The car was so powerful that it wouldn't be stable @ 1st and 2nd gear and would only be stable halfway through third gear.

Still quite low. Must have been a warmer night. How did you calc the DA?

Yas right now shows neg DA according to weather reports. Its about 10pm there right now right?

I don't know how you calculated, but here is a weather data right now

http://www.timeanddate.com/weather/u...ates/abu-dhabi

Currently according to dragtimes DA is a positive 355

Here is a photo of the screen @ yas showing the conditions yesterday (which was worse, higher temp and higher humidity @69%)

I cant remember the barometric pressure, but when I did the calculation it showed 670 positive DA

We usually get negative DA during the end of January- Early Feburary. We will go out again during that time

Congrats to Weistec for putting together a solid combination.

Is this the same car that ran 11.0 at the same track in +4000 DA? I think it was with a Stage 1+ kit back then?

Looks like a daytime screen shot. Why is the sun out at 9:30 at night?

Either way, its all about the pressure. I was looking at a different site that showed the pressure at 31 rather than 30. That difference can change the DA by about 900.

I am just trying to figure out the corrected time to compare. Either way you are racing in optimal conditions. Why no ice in the ice tank? Any idea?

Your using online conversion , which uses a diffrent factor. If you use the standard 1km-1.6 , the values are actually 133.5 and 104.3. Anyhow and anyway its still superfast. Can't wait to see the video.

Ok I would figure the online conversion would be much more accurate can you explain why it wouldn't be?
