I say no. The texture is not nice and makes the car look cheap imo. I plasti dip my grill and wrapped my LED surround and you can clearly see the difference

What a coincidence, I just bought a can of black plasticote last weekend while at OSH. I thought I'd give it a try. I Hope it peals off easily if I decide to remove it.
Altjough I think wrapping or paint looks better, It may be easier to tape off and paint the plasticote vs cutting the wrap to exact size and fitting it over the curved surfaces of a grill. I ll let you guys know how it goes when I find the time to try it.

its cool and all and for 300 bucks not bad but imo it looks a little cheap. park it next to a wrapped car or a painted car and u will quickly see the difference. heck even if u look up close you will see the difference (more so than in the picts)

While it may be cheaper now, I don't even want to think about how hard it would be to take it off of the entire car when you get tired of it or when it's time to sell. The extra aggravation later on may possibly outweigh the extra cost vs. vinyl.
There's that thread of the Infiniti with the white plasti dip that I believe ruined the factory paint when they wanted to remove it.

I've already ordered black rear foot pegs and brake/clutch assembly. Debating on which color for wheels.
I've been working with Plasti-dip for some time now and I've never had any issues what's so ever with it. Its a very very forgiving product and tough as nails. Never once messed up any clear coats on any of the vehicles I've it it one. I've done my bike about 7 or eight times, not once have I seen the slightest fade in clear coat. It always looks the way I got the bike from day one.

Plastidip on hoods and all parts that get abused by tremendous heat extraction, wich is the case here will for sure, sooner or later burn into the clearcoat...all I can say is, think about twice before you do that.

Plast-dip is rated up to 312 degrees. I've done exhaust tips before and its held up just fine.
