Looking for a good Euro parts source...

If anyone can assist; I have a US version MY 2010 C63 and am interested in changing the tail lights to the European version. I prefer the amber signals and would like to order OEM from a reputable source in Europe.

I haven't tried any MB dealers, yet, but if someone on the Forum can point me to an English-speaker friendly dealer (or another good parts supplier), it would be greatly appreciated.

Germany would serve me best, as I can pass by there easily. But any shop who could ship within Europe, if necessary, would be suit me well.

I'm thinking retrofit of the 2012 tail light version and having the SAM reprogrammed to accomodate the change; provided that's all I need. However, going with the 2010 Euro version with the amber turn signals, can also be acceptable if the 2012 proves to be too much of a pain.

I do wonder, if I can get a hold of the 2010 Euro version, if the SAM would need the reprogramming. Gut feelings tell me it's just a lens and bulb swap, and no SAM adjustment would be needed with the 2010 Euro version.

I'm looking for good part numbers for both years, Euro version; 2010 and 2012, to survey both options.

I've done some Forum search and came up with these numbers for the 2012 Euro version.

204 820 18 64 (right side)
204 820 58 64 (left side)

I'm a bit skeptical on these numbers for the 2012, as a local dealer told me MB has recently changed these parts numbers to something else. Does anyone know if this is true?

Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

another member here, BAD430BENZ got his taillight conversion done recently. I believe he got the taillights with amber turn signals from germany.

Really damn.
I don't have a 2010 but my 08 dint need to be programmed for the tails to work. I still have a fog light ON on the left side but they work.

If you order 2012 tail light and just plug them in your 2010 c63 you saying they won't lite up and work?

None of the LED tail lights will work on previous cars.

UNLESS, you have a 2009 and I am not sure about 2008, but 09 can be programmed by a guy on here to work.

2010 wont work and I think 2011.

that is correct.....'09 is the only one that will accept the taillights and coding to match so they work 100% . i believe whipplem is working on the '10 but not sure if he has finished figuring out the coding yet

i recommend a pm to him and ask

I have a 08 they work without programming I just have the driver side parking lamp always on.
My friends 09 same as my 08 they work without programming but still have the driver side parking lamp on.
From my understanding the only thing you need the programming for is to make the parking lamps functional and to not have then on all the time like mines, so that's why I never got it programmed.

So what merc and badbenz are saying is that the 2010-2011 won't work at all without programming? Or will they work like mines and my friends ?

Thanks for the replies and discussion. I got it; the 2013 as a retrofit is too complicated due to the SAM reprogramming issue. However, still looking for an answer to my original question.

If anyone can point me to a good European MB parts supplier for OEM, that would be excellent. The least thing I would still like to achieve is the amber turn signals. I don't have to have the 2013 version, but do want amber lights in the rear.

Thanks in advance.
