Thoughts on using 19" AMG multi-spoke wheels for winter?
In terms of traction, if you went with a 235 square set up, it would be no different than running 235/18 square IMO. It is all about wear and tear on the wheels if that matters to you... and a more limited selection of tire options.
235 all around as mentioned before. The rear wheels will look a little funny (lots of wheel lip showing) but it is fine. Also, as mentioned before, you will need to clean them fairly often and try to seal them. Having more lip exposed means it is easier for salt to sit in between the tire and wheel and eat at the clear coat...because its a machined wheel, things will get nasty if the clear coat wears.
My brother runs his factory 19's all year with 235's all around on LM60's for winter...traction is no different then my 18's on 235 falken eurowinter all around...if anything, he has better traction with the 19" LM60.
Was thinking about maybe running 235/35 and 245/35 or even 255/35 for a bit of stagger... will have to see what winter tire options are out there. I ran 245/40/18 and 265/40/18 winter tires on my M3 with minimal issues, Toronto winters aren't really that bad.
I've ran my c63 e1 on original e1 19" black wheels this past winter in Toronto (which was a fairly long/hard one) - My wheels are perfect, I will find what tires I bought and give you the brand/model as well - car drove flawlessly all winter on them.
I am now however, buying summer wheels as it is not worth the trouble swapping the rims out each season imo.

It'll be such a waste to use those beautiful wheels in the salt and snow.
It'll sure look good though!!!!

I don't see any difference between using 18" and 19" in the winter (I've used both).

I'm weird.. I really do like station wagons/estate vehicles.
Back on topic. for snow, go with the narrowest tire you can safely mount, you want to cut into the snow, not ride on top of it.

I should've went with F 235/35/19 and R 255/30/19 but I'm weird and got 275/30/19 in the back
I run a stock 18" staggered setup in the winter and it is great.

Now onto finding winters in the right sizes... I've been finding that a matched set of 235/35/19 and 255/35/19 had been difficult just based on Tirerack and some other sites.

let me know

Tekky, do you have more pictures of the rear tires/ rims? Can not really see from the shadows.
Thanks in advance

I just find out that the size 255/30 19, as OEM on car, there is just one model in that size - Dunlop SP Winter sport 3d.
they are hard to get, almost every eshop dont have them etc, also dont want to find in middle of winter, once will get puncture for example, they are nowhere around, as i am using car daily dont want to wait 2 weeks for one tire
my question is, is possible to use some other size, which will be good in quiet same size, but with more of brands on market and with better availability than those ?
i was thinking 255 35 19, but side wall will be 1,3 mm higher, diameter +25mm whats looks me quiet big,
any suggestion ?
What brand tire are you looking at in 255/35? At some point I'll need to do some research and figure out what tires to run myself...

235/35/19 front and 235/35/19 rear
235/35/19 front and 245/35/19 rear
Matt also suggested other seizes which he tried:
235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear
235/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear
just the rear will be looked quiet stretched with 235, so I was told
as it will be use just for winter, not a big deal, on other hand there is plenty tires in that size (235+245 on rear) , so I don’t have to be worried , once get puncture etc I will be waiting for tyre 2 weeks ...
the 255 - there is only one tire over here available: Dunlop SP Winter Sport 3D
the best choice for me at this moment for winter looks this one:

I ran 235/40/18 all around on my OEMs 18s. For our Toronto winters, it should be good enough. I never slit out unless I wanted to, and the car's ESC is great for keeping the car in line. I don't have any experience with running 19s but I can only assume you'd get similar results.
I barely touch the throttle during winter times haha. You might want to look into the performance oriented winter tires then, i think they're LMs or something.
