Likewise I am looking for a place that would install the power pipe that fellow forum member is selling. I have done exhaust work on a few of my cars around the valley and westside

I'm in SoCal and want to do a Resonator Delete but wanted to hear one without any other work done. Basically, stock car with res delete. Would love to also meet up and see/hear this and have a reputable shop do it.

Hey guys,
at the shop they just cut and removed the resonator, and then they just used two galvanized steel pipe 2.75"inches , made a hole through each and welded a 1.5" inch galvanized pipe in between, the process took about 1hr and 30min, the guys knew what they were doing and it cost me $150.
Anyone that would say that galvanized steel is no good,is wrong,i used to use galvanized steel on 900hp+ turbo cars with ZERO issues,it doesn't rust also.
The car sounds awesome, sounds like stock, but a hint louder, its perfect trust me guys.
The best $150 i have ever spent!

Did my resonator delete and straight pipe. I think that this is the most perfect sound, quiet in comfort, but LOUD in manual. I went to a place actually right around Van Nuys called Super Tuning & Performance. Has lifetime warranty.

There is nothing wrong with aluminized steel NOT as you put galvanized.
Many cars run that steel ( galvanized ) ( I had it on my mustang ) I'm just trying to guide you the right way. Your car ( a 60k ) hand built AMG comes with OEM stainless steel. If you were to mod it I would at the very least go with the same grade steel as the car went with.
Please in mo way what so ever am I trying to sell you my part!
But simply guide you the right way. A mod on this car should be clean and made of the same quality build and materials as factory or better.
Seeing the pic I would at the very least have them finish those welds in a cleaner manner.
You don't want a service MB tech lifting your car and saying "who did this hack?"
Like I said to each is own but please have them clean those welds.
I know parts for our cars are super $$$ and we are doing are best with what are wallets afford but just a peace of advised since this is a forum and we are all here to help out.
Make sure your mods are of the same quality and finish as OEM specially on such a nice car you have
Here's a pic of the welds I have and a stainless all mandrel bent pipe.
IN NO WAY AM I TRYING TO SELL YOU ANYTHING
But if you need advise or help please reach out and ill be happy to help anyone here
I remember having my C55 and being new on the board here and boy was it hard to get answers. So, I winged it on the mods and a few mistakes after I learned and had a lighter wallet.lol
Feel free to contact me or any of the other senior guys we will be happy to shoot you some help with anything.
Nice car btw

I was looking at the pics. You removed the resonator.
Basically you needed to remove the 2 rear cats and keep the resonator that way you gain HP and get a good growl vs leaving the rear cats and taking the resonator out. All that does is make noise and not HP. The cats are plugs, if you remove them you free up HP. Also if inspection is an issue add a clamp so you can swap out between your mods.
Don't worry I did like 9 different versions of this till I found the right diameter hole and a specific diameter connector and the sweet spot location on where to place the H so no drone would be heard in the cabin. Also did what you did and found out I had no gain on the dyno. It's like been there done that hit that wall and had a lighter wallet.
But in the end if you like the sound then roll with it.
Shoot me a PM if I can help out
Nice car enjoy it in good health
