CEL light
Hi Folks,
Some advise please.
new to the forum. Got my C63 AMG PPPACK 2011 7 months back. Did some mods to it
- Cargraphics headers
- Akra evo exhaust
- Gruppe M air intake
No issue until the car started misfiring about 1 month ago. trouble shooting led to O2 sensors on right bank faulty. changed ALL of them + new set of plugs. Car no issue thereafter etc. However, CEL light came on and code said "O2 sensor open circuit". however, the car was running normal (based on readings, etc) and no issues. cleared fault code. Went away for 2 weeks or so.
CEL came back on yesterday. it dissappeared when restarted after driving for some time. same fault code.
Brought back to the same tuner, upgraded to latest factory map. no tune map (supppose to be McChip)
What might be the issue? how to bypass the CEL light?

yes, exactly doing that. the car is with them right now. I trust they know what they are doing as they have done similar setups on other c63.
car is back on stock map now. will get it tomorrow. so lets see.

The second time you got a CEL code is a diffrent code "Open circuit". I have seen this code before, and it means that one of the Lambda oxygen sensors is not reading. This is due to a bad installation which caused the O2 sensor to get damaged. The douchebag that did it for you didnt install the new sensors for you with caution. Go beat him up

ok, got the car to do a re-tune. new map loaded. significance power increase. no issue for 3 days and then CEL lights come out again. states same error.
has anyone r delete-r with this setup? Is this a O2 sensor error/faulty or tuning?
