C63 Black Series Possible for Sale - Matte Silver
Hello MB World!
My business partner is considering selling his C63 Black Series, and I wanted to see what you guys thought as to a fair asking price. The car is somewhat unique, in that it is one of four in the US with this color/option combo (I am told). It has every option besides the Aero package and the AMG Track app in the media center.
The car has about 8K miles on it, still in perfect condition. MSRP on the car is about $120K, and he paid over on it to the dealer.
Considering the rarity of the car/color/options, what do you guys think is a fair price for the car?
One thing I would like to say on that is he is not in a hurry to sell the car, and loves it to death (who wouldn't), just looking at other options for a daily driver.
On to the pic's:

I think 110k$ would be a good price

I'd ask $125K and take it from there...its not like you can walk in the dealer and order a new one. Anyone in the market will make an offer from there

I just wish we'd see more of these pop up for sale around Canada. I've been looking to swap my C63 for ether a C63-BS (or go insane, and get that AM Vantage I've been looking at).
But you just don't see them pop up on the used market in Canada, and I really don't feel like the hassle of bringing one across the border. I've done it before, and it's more annoying than it's worth.
I think in Canada you could readily get $125K+ for the thing, since you just never see them up for sale here.
Cripes, if it goes up for $100K in the US, then I might have to change my mind on the hassle of importing a car......

As for import, just remember that MB Canada will force you to spend ~$8k for most cars to change the cluster to get warranty and the recall letter.

There are currently 4 C63BS listed for sale on cars.com:
http://www.cars.com/for-sale/searchr...rce=QUICK_FORM
with prices around 120k-150k. However they don't have more than 2k miles on them so my guest for this car should be under $120k asking.

That car is similar to the one ced357 just bought recently. And i think he paid around 105k$ for it. So this should give you an idea of the market.

Ask for whatever you think you want, and the market will decide from there. No harm in putting it up for 120, or 125, just be prepared to bargain down.
I figure, take the absolute rock bottom price that your friend will accept for the car, then add 20% That will give you 20% wiggle room in which to drop the price and still be happy

You dont get what you dont ask for. The miles on this car are a little higher than some niche buyers would want for this car. I have 3000 miles on mine and will sell it soon and that lucky buyer will get it with less than 3500 miles.

I can tell you it is not 1 of 4 made, there were a lot more Magno Allanite Grey BS's built than that. It appears it is a base car that listed for $105,000 plus the matte paint was a $3950.00 option. This does not even appear to be a CF package car, it looks like a matte CF wrap film to me, the factory CF is high gloss.
The BS's that are selling and still fetching a premium are the Aero Package and Track Package cars, the base cars are not moving. I would be suprised if he could get anything over $100K for the car. A guy I know picked up a used silver non Aero package car in Chicago in March and paid $101K and it only had about 2000 miles on it.

At the time, I wasn't big into tracking any of my cars, and the ride (as you know) is not entirely street friendly. So I figured I could get most of the investment out of the car by turning it over pretty quickly - and one of the local dealerships had an SL that was more or less how I would've built it. Ironically, I'm now spending more time out at the track, and I've been considering what to run (I currently use my '13 Boss 302 LS, but I'd prefer an automatic) - either a new GT3, a used GT RS, a new GT-R w/ track pack, or getting back into a CBS.

I'm not the biggest black series fan but this one I like, the color without the gaudy aero pack seems very aggressive yet clean lines. And I'd agree if he's in no hurry to sell I'd price with the market and go from there.

I would part with that M5 or M6 before I sold the BS. The M6 is beautiful, one of the best looking cars on the road, that being said I guess you should lose the M5.
