Dads C63 RIP :-(
Well its official. She's going to be put to rest somewhere.
I have been talking to the insurance company and its totaled no matter how you look at it. Its also not worth putting back together with a salvage title. That being said there are three parts that I am taking off that will be up for sale as soon as I can post some pictures.
First is the carbon fiber drivers seat from Tecnocraft. I bought the seat a couple of years ago and it stays in the car full time. Since it doesn't get driven much its in excellent shape. Here's the web site.
http://www.tecnocraft.com/Tecnocraft...-Seat-P39.aspx
Got it from Josh. It only weighs 17# and the stock seat is 63#.
I will sell it for $1200 shipped anywhere in the USA.
If you are outside the USA we'll have to negotiate the freight.
I am also taking the Boca BS wing off the trunk. Your stock trunk will require some custom work like mine did if you have a sedan. I think the coupe will bolt right on but I'm not positive.
I'll sell the Wing for $1500 shipped in the USA.
Outside the USA we will need to negotiate the freight.
Last but not least is the new carbon ceramic brake conversion. I am removing it because they will let me because of the cost. I have over $20,000 in R&D and parts for this conversion and I'll sell all four rotors, calipers, and pads for $10,000 shipped in the USA. Please let me know if you are interested.
PS: I forgot to mention that I have a brand new, still in the box, pair of the carbon fiber mirrors from Matt. I just got them last Friday so I haven't even opened the box.
I would like to get $1000 for them.
Thanks again and its been a fun ride but her time is up. :-(

Terrible news I'm just glad it didn't happen on the track while going 200+mph.
Aren't you going to sell the wheels?
BTW I can confirm that the BOCA wing will fit a coupe without modifications to the trunk.

Sad to hear especially since you just finished the BS conversion. At least your car will be immortalized here in the web as well as European Car mag. BTW-what engine were you going to put in when you were trying to sell the M156?
Also, thanks for all you have done for us here on the forum with your R&D and manufacturing of your hood.

It is pretty stout and if it made the power NA like a C63 with a higher powerband I would've choose that instead. For me it ruined it knowing the times were the same when one car had a SC and one didn't

Well, how do you really feel about this ending?.....The whole issue is bloody awful, but with such a badly damaged car, perhaps this is the best result.
However, I have NO doubt, that a person with so much drive, enthusiasm & passion, will eventually take charge of another "project", which could be even more exciting?
Cheers, Pickles.

I presumed it was a total just from the a glance at your posted pics
Don't dwell on the loss ... It's not productive to your psyche .
Move on and enjoy your next project

Wow, I am speechless. Can not wait to see your next build whatever it might be. Knowing you it will be epic. Glad you were unhurt, at least physically.

Sorry to hear about the total loss Keith, I know deep down inside you wanted to save it & rebuilt... but it might never drive the same after.
Good luck with your new project! And thank you for all the help/contributions you provided to this forum. Your hood & trunk look awesome.

Damn I hate to hear stories like this! It sounds cliche but if you didn't get hurt, that's what's important... A car is just glass plastic and steel.
Youre right in the same part of town as me and Everyone local that I talk to about MB performance mentions you. I was looking forward to running into you one day and checking this car out.
On a side note, pardon my ignorance but will those brakes swap onto my 06E? If so you might have a local sale.

Hey Guys,
All the kind words really do mean a LOT!! This car has been a four year process and a labor of love. I sincerely appreciate the encouragement.
Its been a very tough week trying to move on and not get pulled down by letting her go. She's been a blast and I truly wish they could have fixed her but the damage was far more than I could have ever imagined. The adjuster got to $35,000 in repairs and had not moved to the rear yet so its definitely gone, WOW! I thought the guys at the body shop were going to cry when I told them it was totaled. :-(
Anyway, many of you have asked about the mirrors:
The mirrors:
100% OEM. Heated, driver side autodim, blind spot on both sides.
However, they are not power folding - In 2009 US Spec did not have that feature from the factory.
Here's the pictures from Matt (olszowa12)

Here's the DIY link he sent me:

Thank you again for all the comments!! I'll be here to help any of you I can in the future.
