I've been told that the coupe will not start production until August for Sept / Oct delivery.

Just placed the order for a 507. Should be here September/October. Was told that there are no factory options other than two tone leather. You have to buy the car with the following options;
AMG Driver's Package
19" alloys
Keyless-go
Black trim
illuminated door sills
red calipers (yuk!!)
I hate the red calipers and iluminated door sills but didn't have the option to leave them out.
There's no documentation to know what features will be included in the car other than what's listed as AMG in the 2013 C class owner's manual. Does anyone know where there will be a list of features for the australian delivery?

Gonna trade it in on the 507.
My dealer actually wants me to leave some of the mods that I have done. It might work out really nice. Or at bare minimum, I'll get slightly over wholesale.

Doesn't the old performance package plus come with the composite brakes? Additionally, this big hoopla about the lightweight internals and higher top speed governor, all P31 and PPP cars have that.
Otherwise, I do like it - esp. the dark headlights and the hood. Otherwise, some nice wheels, stickers, some extra alcantara and logos.
If what people say is to be believed in terms of the P31 and BS dynos (since the motors are the same), this will likely dyno around the same as a P31 / PPP C63.
Edit: From when the Performance Package Plus was released - "The Performance Package Plus braking system has been adapted to the enhanced driving dynamics. A new AMG high-performance braking system ensures greater stability when driving dynamically, with compound brake discs on the front axle and red painted brake callipers all round showing the AMG logo. The brake discs feature a composite design and are connected to an aluminium bowl to avoid temperature peaks. The connection between the disc and bowl is new: instead of the usual screw connection, the aluminium bowl is now connected to the brake disc via cast-in arms. The advantage is more homogenous temperature distribution on the brake disc."

OK - Option "471" locked in. It's called a "Locking Diff", but is an LSD.
Is there some kind of counselling you can get while you are waiting for the car?

Yes, option "471" is an LSD. However the addition through MB is far greater than getting an aftermarket(Quaife or otherwise) and having it installed.
The option here in the states is $2030. That is hefty!! I have a Quaife LSD ready to go in it and it was $900. The install is $400. So $1300 all together is a significant savings. Plus I like the Quaife product.

RE below - Cars get packaged differently in Australia. Generally speaking high end cars got the majority of options included with no ability to remove.
Its a double edged sword, as it raises the price bar to get into these great cars, but it also means your resale value for all the "standardised" is kept higher.

What colour did each of you pick? I went with the Magno matte silver. Feels like a bit of a gamble, but I like some exclusivity with my cars... 
Hi, I'm quite new to posting on here. I would like to know is anyone on here looking to order or ordered a c63 AMG 507 edition. I currently have a 2012 c63 and I'm going to hopefully receive mine in September. I know it's quite a lot of money for what they are but fancied something new and wasn't fast enough to pull the trigger on a black series so decided on that. I would also be happy to hear your thought's on the car.

Obsidian Black. I almost went with the MAGNO matte silver. But I just painted my Trans Am Matte black with matte candy navy blue strips. I just couldn't have both my toys in matte flavor. So I went to my roots on this one - A rich metallic black will look sharp on this car. I can almost guarantee you, that MAGNO is going to get people talkin'. At night especially, that color will KILL bro.

Obsidian Black with the standard polished wheels.

I'm with Matt on this one. There are only a handful of unofficial pics of this thing. I've seen a black wagon and coupe, matte silver coupe (identical to official pics coupe), and one white sedan (identical to official sedan pics).

I'm in the UK.
I believe they started building them this month so would expect to see the production ones anytime.
Mine is a Saloon in August build but would like to see a Black standard one.
I changed my performance pack for this which added 6-8 weeks.
Have changed from a run of BMW's M6 and Alpina B5. The last AMG I had was a SLK32 almost 10 years ago...!

Hang on minute...what's this about darkened headlamps??
Never heard of this option on the 507 before.
I saw a few Benz's with the magno matte paint recently in Hong Kong and another at the local dealer. I have to say that I am not a fan. I really wanted to like the matte paint as it is unique, but shiny paint looks much more appealing to me in reality. When I saw the pics on the web they look much better than in real life in my opinion.
Also saw a few Range Rovers with matte black paint - not a good look.
These matte colours only look special on super cars such as Lambos and Lotus honestly...others looks like primer. But each to their own.
Seen the Benz pearl white and I didn't like on paper but in real life it actually looks very attractive at night under street lighting.
Also would rather the rear wing is in carbon fibre and the interior trim also. As a detailer I can say that gloss black shows scratches too easily!

I was thinking the Silver as my no.1 choice.
I really like black BUT...I have two black cars currently plus last THREE before that have been all black and quite honestly am getting to the point where I tired of the constant maintenance!
I like silver as it would show off the bonnet and the lines a bit better...all Benzes somehow look great in silver imo. Plus the maintenance is effortless.
I'm still uming and ahhing about buying a C63. The new one is not long away and am curious to see what it will look like. Also the car I want to trade is fully owned. However I really like the NA engine in the current one!

On closer reading, I guess you're right. One option is all leather. The other two are black dinamica seat area with either black leather or white leather in the bolsters and other parts of the seat.
