I changed colours to white and in the process changed a "sometime in December" delivery time to a mid August delivery time!
Managed this as a white one was on the boat to Australia already. The nice bonus is that this car has an LSD fitted. Looking forward to getting behind the wheel!

C63 AMG P61 - Ordered!
Hi All,
First time poster, long time reader here.
Just wanted to update this thread with another soon to be owner of the C63 507 Edition. I took the plunge today and made the order with my dealer. After reading many posts on this forum, I was concerned about the build/ship/receive timeframe! I didn't want to wait too long and not get anything until January. My salesman showed me the orders in place from around the country and also those that were "In Production - Not Shippped."
It was interesting seeing how these cars are in the queue and the dates. Most of the line items we saw had a date of 2013/08 or 09/1D or 2D. So it looks like we'll be seeing more of these on the road in Early August/September!
So, with that said, here is what I got:
Iridium Silver
Limited Slip Diff
Lighting Package
Leather Package
Can't wait to get my hands on this one. I'm coming out of a slightly modified 04 Audi S4 (Software Tune, Stg 3 DXD Racing Clutch/Flywheel, Stainless Steel Brake lines, HPS Pads) but needed more. LOL I rented an E63 via Herzt at FLL (Fort Lauderdale Int'l) and it was very nice. It was an interesting power band in the car and the feel was very subdued and it was hard to imagine the speed was coming up that quick. That "raw" torque feeling was there compared to the S4. But the speed was rather quick to come up...the speedometer was more like a tachometer.
The C is better for the parking situation here in NYC so we got that one instead of the E.

I went into the dealer to check the computer and walked out having put the deposit on an A45 for the wife.
I have now officially been banned from going to the dealer.

C63 AMG 507 Edition Sept Delivery
Saw the 507 at Goodwood Festival of speed Friday in coupe form.
Looks good happy with the steering wheel and black trim.
I will post pics when I get the memory card out.
Paid my deposit and signed the paperwork yesterday, the car is showing at Zebrugge still and is expected at the weekend so should have it this time next week.

Mattie - You're an obsidian sedan yeah (I have been waiting to see this configuration)? What interior? NICE choice in wheels. I elected for polished as well, but the dealer accidentally ordered it with the matte black option. He offered a $1k discount (equal cost of the option) if I was okay with keeping it this way. I allowed it. So anyway, I very eager to see your configuration. Very interested in a far away but zoomed in pic. I'm no photographer, I just know that yields the best pics of everything. Congratulations btw

Somebody has messed up in Germany or no stock alloys but anyways they are sorting it. Tarnished the experience slightly.
Who in there right mind thought that 18in alloys on this car was a good idea.

They are contacting Germany Monday.
Dont understand whats happened paperworks all correct, just fear for ones on the boat Oz and USA.
If they have a manufacturing problems they might all be wrong ??

Mattie - wow man I'm sure your face was indeed a picture! Thanks for the pics. Goes without saying, can't believe this happened; I'm glad to hear they're sorting this out. Congrats on the first 507 delivery I've hear of!

I agree with the interior pics. Hope they get the wheels figured out quickly. If they're gonna be replacing the wheels and tires, burn em up. Might as well, right? I believe videos of that would be in order though.

Looks amazing. It seems that AMG wasn't ready for the demand (M3's discontinuation might be a factor), or the fact that you can get a 500+ hp German car for a relatively affordable price.
From what I'm told by my sales guy, the 18" wheels you received the car in are not even an option on the 507.
Now it's time for some burnouts on some rather expensive-FREE Robber! Do post videos.
Let us know beforehand just in-case the earth moves...
