CEL Code: P061B
I'm taking it in to the dealership on Monday anyways, but I thought I might get some input from anyone who had this problem.
Essentially, I was right-turning out of a parking lot and the "ESP/Traction Control Unavailable" message came on, along with the CEL. This had happen to me in the past and was remedied with turning off the engine for a bit and turning it back on. But this time the CEL stayed on and there was a definite loss of torque; the RPM did not go a high as it normally would. Drivability is relatively normal, but like I said, there's a definite loss of torque.
That being said, I hooked up the ODBII reader and pulled this:
"Generic P061B
Internal Control Module
Torque Calculation
Performance"
I Google'd it and it said something about the throttle body malfunctioning.
My car is tuned, but the only thing that I can think of that would make sense with this is that the torque on the tune was set too high.
Please chime in where you can. Thanks!

I'm not saying it's the tune's fault directly. I'm merely stating that I have a tune for informational purposes. I'm more interested in the code itself, and what it means.

Yeah, it seems like it. The CEL went away the next day, but the lack of torque feel was still there. So I reverted it back to the stock file this morning and it seems to run normal. I'll re-upload the tune later on today and see that makes a difference.
I'm almost tempted to email the tuner and ask them for a "less aggressive" tune for the torque.

ive never seen the code on an untuned c63. Ive seen it in stock sls's but its usually only after the battery is dead. Id definately say its tune related.

A quick update:
My service advisor said there was a miscommunication problem between the engine control module and the rest of the car. They have never encountered a problem like this before and are going to keep it for a day or two to find the actual problem.
Also, I've emailed my tuner and they said that it might be an underlying problem because if it was the tune then the problem would've arose a long time ago. And I've had the tune for close to 6 months now.
I'll keep everyone posted when I hear back from the dealership.

Yeah, that much I know. I haven't told the dealership that I have a tune, and from what I gathered it's a pretty lengthy process to access the ECU to see if it has been modified.
Hopefully I won't have to replace the ECU. The weird thing is that the car drives normal with the stock tune. The power is all there. We'll see what happens...

Not really. The SA called on Wednesday to let me know that they're still trying to figure out what's wrong. They're essentially trying to recreate the event, which is probably not possible since the stock file is in instead of the tune file.
However, the ESP/Traction Control malfunction has happened prior to getting a tune.
He said he's giving me a call on Monday. I hope they figure it out soon because this C250 they gave me as a loaner is just not cutting it. Lol!

So my SA finally got back to me today and he said they're replacing the engine control module; which when I asked him, is essentially the ECU. He wasn't able to pinpoint the exact cause of error, but simply said with the "information" they had, it pointed to needing to replacing the engine control module.
Two things:
1) Luckily, it's covered under warranty. Saved me a whole mess of money. Even though part of the fault may lie with me because of the tune. Maybe.
2) I'm assuming my tune file/hand-held tuner is completely useless now, seeing how each tune file is specifically tied to a physical ECU? I'll email my tuner to be sure, but if anyone knows please chime in.
I'm also curious to know if the new engine control module will have a different VIN number than the one on my car? I believe that each ECU is tied to only one VIN number. Again, please chime in if you have information about this.
Thanks!

Code po16b85
I've had this same p061b85 message on my 2013 CLA 220 cdi, I've had it re-mapped, it stated that the torque calculation of the control unit has a malfunction. There is a signal above the permissible limit value. after reading previous forum comments I too thought it was an ECU malfunction, i contacted the re-map specialist and he put the car on his diagnostics and the fault was not to do with the ECU but instead two faults p13c21e the exhaust stored flap has a malfunction. The resistance value outside the permissible range and p13c271 the exhaust stored flap had a malfunction. The actuator is blocked.
