CEL Code: P061B
Essentially, I was right-turning out of a parking lot and the "ESP/Traction Control Unavailable" message came on, along with the CEL. This had happen to me in the past and was remedied with turning off the engine for a bit and turning it back on. But this time the CEL stayed on and there was a definite loss of torque; the RPM did not go a high as it normally would. Drivability is relatively normal, but like I said, there's a definite loss of torque.
That being said, I hooked up the ODBII reader and pulled this:
"Generic P061B
Internal Control Module
Torque Calculation
Performance"
I Google'd it and it said something about the throttle body malfunctioning.
My car is tuned, but the only thing that I can think of that would make sense with this is that the torque on the tune was set too high.
Please chime in where you can. Thanks!
I'm almost tempted to email the tuner and ask them for a "less aggressive" tune for the torque.

My service advisor said there was a miscommunication problem between the engine control module and the rest of the car. They have never encountered a problem like this before and are going to keep it for a day or two to find the actual problem.
Also, I've emailed my tuner and they said that it might be an underlying problem because if it was the tune then the problem would've arose a long time ago. And I've had the tune for close to 6 months now.
I'll keep everyone posted when I hear back from the dealership.

Hopefully I won't have to replace the ECU. The weird thing is that the car drives normal with the stock tune. The power is all there. We'll see what happens...
However, the ESP/Traction Control malfunction has happened prior to getting a tune.
He said he's giving me a call on Monday. I hope they figure it out soon because this C250 they gave me as a loaner is just not cutting it. Lol!

Two things:
1) Luckily, it's covered under warranty. Saved me a whole mess of money. Even though part of the fault may lie with me because of the tune. Maybe.
2) I'm assuming my tune file/hand-held tuner is completely useless now, seeing how each tune file is specifically tied to a physical ECU? I'll email my tuner to be sure, but if anyone knows please chime in.
I'm also curious to know if the new engine control module will have a different VIN number than the one on my car? I believe that each ECU is tied to only one VIN number. Again, please chime in if you have information about this.
Thanks!
