Must Haves in a C63
I am buying a used C63 in the near future and I have all the time in the world to find the one I want. Figured I would see what everyone thought were must haves in a C63, other than the lsd of course.

Don't even really NEED an LSD. I'm perfectly happy without mine because I don't track it. It'll still put rubber on the ground if you want, just not as much going around corners.
It comes down to what you are going to do with the car because it can (in my opinion) be set up for two completely uses.
A - Track... PP package w/ LSD (Have fun replacing two piece rotors if you have to $$$)
B - DD/Play car... Don't really need much because a tune will get you to the same power if that is what you're worried about. And rotors don't cost a teste to replace
Honestly, I would just make sure you have the interior/exterior combo you want and the light package. Again, depends on what you're going for.

I agree with PurpleHeartAMG. But I can't live without the alcantara steering wheel, which comes with the PP. of course, you can just have a regular wheel wrapped or buy the PP wheel separately.

I was very specific in what I wanted - a 2010 with upgrades, but prior to the P31, as I wanted the P30. The lowered suspension is great and contrary to what some have said, I don't find it harsh at all - it definitely sets the car up better. To lower the car and add LSD would have added much more cost to the car (than just adding the tune that I wanted) and wouldn't have easily been reversible to keep it "stock" for servicing. I bought a tune.
Otherwise I wanted less than 10k miles, never tracked, no accidents, still under warranty (preferably with an existing ELW), the light package, full leather, carbon fiber (makes a huge difference, but can be added later), multimedia and an interior color that wasn't black. In my view the black interior looks pretty generic and a bit cheaper.
I got all of that, but it did take 2 months of looking...

I'm sticking with an LSD since I'll be driving in the snow but other than that it seems the consensus is multimedia package and lighting package. Any other interior things people didn't get but wish they did (keyless go, etc..)?

Yes, I forgot keyless go. Great feature and should be included on your list!

Have you driven a c63 with a lsd? I upgraded to a quaife which has a better lock up rate than the stock lsd. Coming from an open diff with all the power our cars make it was night and day when i put the quaife on honestly 100% my favorite mod ! Its just so much more predictable and im actually having alot more fun with the car because of the confidence it gives me especially powering out of a corner where the stock open diff was a nightmare sending power to the outside wheel and unsettling the car big time.
OP go with your gut get the lsd ! I have all the mods in the book besides S/C and LSD has been my favorite

Packages that you can't upgrade or it would be ridiculous to try to:
--MM package
--Lighting package
Everything else is upgradable after the fact...P31, you can tune and install an aftermarket LSD and aftermarket brakes. The factory LSD is only 30% lock. You can get others that are 100% for the same cost that it would be to add the option to a new car. CF you can do later. Alcantara you can do later. Keyless go wasn't a deal-breaker for me. It's nice, but not a must-have IMO.

Personally if you are under warranty I would be wary about doing anything aftermarket because of the potential of losing your warranty. I think light package, pp, and LSD are important options. Even though the pp is expensive I bet the dealer is willing to give a larger discount to offset the cost difference between the pp and a tune.

ford svt's, and C63!!!
I ended up getting a low mileage, bare bones, 2012 C63 in the color I wanted, and the car is far more "loaded" than anything I've ever driven! I was sort of adamant on the LSD, because I'm into drag racing, but I have yet to spin only one tire from a stop/launch, so I'm glad I didn't waste money there. I plan on abusing my car quite a bit, and have wondered if I should have gotten an older one with a torque converter instead of the MCT transmission, but I've heard good things about the mct so far. So get the interior, and exterior the way you can live with, and I truly think you'll be happy, I know I am.

The thing that surprised me most coming from a 2009 non pp c63 was the LSD on a 2012 p31 when i drove it. You can definitely tell the difference. Feels much better around the corners.
