I bookmarked this in the off chance that I do update my taillights. I hope it helps! (This is for the 2010s) https://mbworld.org/forums/5628868-post31.html

you can try contacting him, but from everything I read before, you can't get it to work on 2010 or 2011 cars. there are some non OEM versions on eBay that work on those 2 years...not sure if you'd wanna go that route though.

the post i linked specifically mentions that it was done for a 2010, but since I have no access to the software I have not been able to confirm or deny whether it truly works on the 2010s. I'm hoping it does!

I have a set of the not OEM tail lights on the way to me as we speak.
Reason for me to choose these was 1. Not been able to find anyone close by that do the programming. 2. Wanted full LED lights
I will update as soon as I get them and have them on my car with some pictures.

Just so everyone knows the LED in the taillights work but its just throws a message telling you that they are out. You just hit the cancel button on the steering wheel twice and your done. If I am not mistaken whipplem104 has not been able to code the 2010+ SAM to not throw the error message, but to be honest it really doesn't bother me that much and I love how the new taillights look!

Yeah, I'm wanting to have the LED 2012+ lights
Lol....just frustrated that this is a mod that is so hard to do!
We will soon find out...
If it comes down to this I guess it will have to be...But is the install just plug in, screw back into place and go? That's it?

Just plug and play I love having them installed and I don't mind waiting for the coding to come out they look great on so the little messages doesn't really bother me at all.

I installed them on mine(09) when I did the BS upgrade and they worked fine. Never had a code or anything. Are you all sure there is a problem? The body shop did not change any of the electronics etc.... Just replaced them and they worked fine.
