loaners.. not c63 related but..
for anyone here that drives a porsche..
i just don't get it.. you come in driving a porsche and drive out driving some crappy enterprise rental.. WTF!!
so how does these porsche dealerships determine if they'd give you a p-car as a rental?
not like MB dealers -- they'll give you an MB loaner regardless of what type of service you go in for (oil change, etc) warranty or not.. is it because MB (or say BMW) have cheaper 'entry level' cars for loaners compared to the p-car entry level cars? and i've scheduled my service a week in advance..
how about you guys driving ferrari's and/or lambo's? do you get the same (or similar) cars?

oh and when i say crappy - i'm not trying to be some snub/privileged SOB and complaining about a compact chevy cruze.. the car stinks and dirty (stains in the cloth seats, etc).. i was to the point to where i wanted to return the car -- unfortunately, i got to go to work.
when i got home, i almost emptied a full can of lysol and wiped everything clean (i should charge them for cleaning their stinking rental no?)

I went with my buddy to drop off his Porsche Cayenne Turbo. It was overdue for some major maintenance and he had a decent rental. It was still a downgrade in power but he liked it so much he ended up buying that model a few months after.

Whenever I take an Mb un, regardless of what it is I always get a base model C250. My Porsche was mix and match. I've had a cayenne, 911, and boxster loaner. M5 they gave me a 750 Li loaner.

MB of Walnut Creek gives out MB loaners, but when they're out, they use Enterprise. In fact, there's an Enterprise counter INSIDE the dealership service area.

Way back when the 745Li was first introduced. The local dealer gave my dad a Bentley Continental GT as the 'loaner' when he dropped off the brand new 745li for service.
Although, I would say that wasn't their regular practice but my dad was a regular customer and had bought several high end cars from them. I think in the back of their head they were hoping that my dad would like the Bentley and want to get it.

The times I dropped off my car ( which was twice in the last month). Ive always had C300 4matics
Both had 1200-1500 miles on it only
Wish I couldve gotten a E-350 or ML loaner but again I would think they would class you with a similar body size that matches off with whatever your dropping off for repair

The dealer here gives you a chit for a taxi. I live 30 km away and if I want to go home I have to have someone pick me up or cab it home on my own. If the car is there overnight for warranty MB will supply a loaner. Part of the reason I do my own work as much as I am capable doing. I suppose if it is major surgery they might provide a loaner and I think they have C or B class loaners.
