If the pads are in great condition, you need not worry much. Just make sure you avoid panic braking for around 300 miles, and that would be sufficient to break-in the new rotors. Watch out for squeaking sounds, if any.

My old 2 pieces almost gone, not much left, I could beat on in and get few hundreds or a thousand miles but I didn't want too.

Old brake pads still half way down, slidely touch the top of sensor. I got the new brake pads here but I thoight I could get all the juice out of old pads first then whenever warning light pads come on just replace them ?

My car is 37k so changed couple of pads already. Old rotors I can see the lid on the edge and when I took to dealer, they suggest replace them wheneve next oilf change which was 3000 miles left for the service. Been driving almost 1000 miles so I thought its the time to change it.

So just replace the pads as well ?

Put new pads on. The wear on the old rotor will be inversed on the old pads and could give irregular wear.

You probably had tons of life left in your old two piece rotors. Min thickness is 30mm I believe.

You should see around 100,000km life from them.

When I was changing the spring, I could see the lid on the outside and inside edge and I can feel it, the guy at Indy shop measured it and compare with spec oem and told me I had just alil bit left.

Oh we'll I threw away the old pieces already.

I got brand new set pads that I'm going to put em in later this week.
You guys know where I can get SS brake line ?

I was looking around brake line and seem like I couldn't get the thing unscrew

Merc63 is correct unless you are pulling a semi truck behind you and using your brakes only to stop the car and the truck these rotors should be good at least until the slots are worn away. Replace the old pads, highly recommended.

+1...you could cause vibration or an inbalance of rotor surface. New rotor, new pads.

why do you say this? breaking in/seating pads and rotors pretty much involves panic stopping or getting them real nice and hot, letting them cool off a hair and repeating 2-3x until you feel the brakes grabbing properly. ofcourse rear's dont do nearly as much as the front so it may take more work and not be as noticeable. . I agree it was a bad idea to put old pads on new rotors - causes whatever wear from the previous rotor to form usually causing squealing, but to each's own. And your rotors were probably fine unless you tracked the crap out of it or drive like that much of a mad man. No point in trying to use every last bit if you already have new ones laying around. Its like running tires past the wear bars. sure you can do it but why bother if you dont have to? your more likely to get a nail or puncture with such little meat.
