Found these just close to my work, looks like MB are doing some kind of promo.

Asked the girl in attendance what was the deal with these two 507s and she said they were "fancy fancy" and didnt really know anything more about them...

What I was able to glean was that there are 2 only in Australia, and that they will apparently will be on sale in a month or two (presumably following showings in the capital cities). *The indicated price she gave was $250k!!!! *Thats a fair markup for some paint and leather... (std 507 is around $170k)

The red one looks good but the white is ugly

 

What I like about AMG's is there understated elegance combined with brute force. These two are clearly not understated.

 

can't say i'm a fan. Those headrests stitching looks like a 5 year old did it.

The 507 stitchings on the seats are ridiculous haha.
Both of them are ugly as hell.

But they are definitely special

I wonder if everything was done at the plant of if some of it was done locally in Australia... reminds me of the many 'Special Edition' M3s that BMW has been putting out for years.

While I'm not a fan of the total package there are some interesting elements in these... particularly the red contrast stitching on the doors, console, wheel, shift boot in the white car. The black exhaust tips are nice too and looks like they did a decent job on the wheels (even if the colour combo isn't my thing). The 507 stitching is brutal though.

Certainly unique and I'm sure they won't have any issue selling these given the exclusivity... will be interested to see if any of these end up elsewhere around the world.

 

love the white sedan. make the hood vents red and it'd be perfect. well the 507 stitching is pretty awful but other than that i dig.

 

I believe they are special edition painted by the performance studio, that's why people give them so much respect.

It's funny cuz if I painted my car this way.. Everybody would be screaming rice. Lol

 

I think I'm glad I got mine the way I did. I like the wheels, not that much though. Graphics?, OMG! Glad they're not on my car. They are over thinking things, I think.

Wow, what terrible destruction of an otherwise beautiful machine. Someone please fire the cracker who decided to do this!

Hahaha! Imagine you work for MB and your boss tells you how he wants this special "507" project done AND it is your job to mutilate these cars...My God I would have to consider quitting my job first. That had to be quite painful for someone to be a part of such terrible design ideas.

 

That is really colorful! They should have done one in green and yellow, aussie style .
I only like the exhaust tips. The rest looks too "experimental" for me.

 

Over the top for benz, leave the crazy colors for the Porsche GT3!!!!!
