Big brother arrived!
After a long wait, the GL arrived. What a car! Lots of tech, nice growl and a perfect complement to the C.

GL63?
I drove one at the AMG Driving Academy event this year - it's by far the best all-around car I drove in the past few years.
The way it handles in sport-mode, the accelaration, the comfort, the interior, the size, and the SOUND when you open the small windows in the back are just insane
The only drawback is the price

Incredible. I drove the GL450 for a few days in New York. I know it doesn't compare to the GL63 but it was definitely an impressive vehicle. I drove around with the windows down the whole time listening to the twin-turbos spool as I was ascending the hills. AMAZING! So I can just imagine how incredible yours sounds.

i need a gl too, need to dump the denali 2006.....but with 3 shorties the denali does do the trick,,,,,plenty of room, decent power, and i dont care if the kids make a mess in it..
kids would make a mess in a gl.....and its a bit smaller, but yes very nice

Looking good! Are they both the same color? The GL is nice--it's like the S-class of SUV's. If it weren't for the higher center of gravity and lower gas mileage, I would love to be in one. But of course there is the choice of the E wagon to fit that need.

Yes, steel gray. And I talked my wife into getting the red calipers for her GL, and that's what I meant by big brother. The exterior color, Calipers and interior wood trim are the same.
