507 Edition with Chrome Delete

I just got the 507 back from getting a full "chrome delete" treatment, window tint, and smoked tail lights. The "chrome delete" consisted of wrapping the door handles and surrounds, chrome trim around the windows, chrome trim piece on truck, all badges, and wheel emblems in matte black.

Not my cup of tea, but looks well done.

What about the exhaust tips? Like the cars in this thread:

https://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w...cial-507s.html

Would complete the look.

I looked into doing the exhaust tips done as well, but bottom line is I couldn't get it done in the timeframe I needed it done by. Definitely something I will consider doing in the near future though!

Almost forgot to ask!

OH! Does anyone know of a good place to get clear side markers so I can get rid of the orange? I found a place on eBay but it looks shady... Any help would be appreciated!

I think the chrome delete looks best on silver for the contrast.

Here's mine:

Everything was kept on the car

Everything was kept on the car during the wrap process. The only semi-exception was the door handles. They were slid backwards a little bit so there would be no visible seem (the handles slide backwards after a bolt is removed).

Chrome delete is nice
How are your taillights at night? I'm finding the tint a little bit too dark but I might be wrong.

I agree with your contrast perspective. To me, having so much chrome on a car as dark as mine simply made no sense though so I needed to do something about it. Not sure I really had much of an option other than matte black; though I will admit my pictures do not do the car justice! It looks much better in person.

I have some professional pictures on the way that should do a better job. I will post those up as well when I get them in.

Looks great!!! I am awaiting my 507 and that has been the first thing on my mind. And definitely the first mod. All chrome off and a black grille.

You did a good thing and makes the car looks so much better and meaner. Takes some of the so-called "luxury" aspect out of it and makes a statement that it is indeed a sports car. I believe that they shopuld come from the factory like that.

My only issue are the smoked/blacked out tail-lights. It's your car and you did what you want. But I feel the car loses some of it's true pride with the tail-lights like that. Looks a little cheaper.

But again, your car. If you like it and it's your thing........more power to you and enjoy your car!!!! Be safe and proud.

I was a little apprehensive about getting the tail lights done at first as well. They do look rather dark in the pictures, but in person they look MUCH better (in my opinion of course).

Its really hard for me to capture in the photos, but they are not as dark as them appear in the photos. I know the professional photo shoot I had done included some shots at night, but I have not had a chance to see them yet. I will see if I can take some shots tonight and get them posted for you.

In all honesty, they still shine bright and are easy to see. The most noticeable difference is off angle where they are noticeably dimmer. Straight on, they are still REALLY bright.

Night pictures

Here are some pictures at night with the tail lights on. Wife was already in bed so could not get a shot with the brake lights on...

Looks great, very nice car you have there. I have to agree with the others though, not a fan of tinted tailights in general so I personally would have passed on that.

Also just wondering why you went with matte black vs gloss black to match the rest of the car (ie. spoiler, hood vents, front grille/DRL surrounds)?
