Lightbulb LSD oil change

I need to do an oil change for the LSD on my c63. Does the mb dealership sell the oil at the service dept? I also need an oil filter for my engine oil change and was wondering if they sell it.

its a bolt, drain plug and fill plug, they are the same both. i was going to do this weekend.
001989520310 oil 3 bottles
0019902317 screw plugs

unplug the screw they are 50nm . and drain till last bit drop
put back the new plug make sure using Permatex High Temperature Thread Sealant (Part number 59214) just 1/3 drop on the plug and put it back to 50nm

then unplug the drain screw...pull 3 bottles in there, (3 of 500ml is 1.5L)
but they only need 1L something , so you still have some left over
, do same thing using sealant and put it back.

this is drain plug :

and other side is fill plug.

could very well be that the "gasket" that the dealer had to order was actually a plug.

my apologies if that's the case.

I have changed my diff oil twice and still using the original plugs without sealant. I think you will be OK without new plugs or sealant. No leaks on mine.

the plug only couple dollars, why would you want to reuse the plug on an expensive car ? plus in WIS, they recommend to use sealant thread lock.
You might get leaking oil down the road.

I don't see why I would need to change plugs that are almost brand new.

Just had the 3000 km LSD fluid change done today at the dealer. They reused the existing drain & fill plugs (only parts on the bill are the three bottles of oil).

Nothing wrong with reusing the plugs unless they are damaged in some way.

+1, replace twice myself and no problem. Just a little thread sealant.

Come to think about it. I am likely due to change again.

Ayone else close to 126K miles on their M156?
Note: I started at 0.007K miles.
