2011 C63 - Reliability for High Mileage Driver
I've just recently started to lurk on MBWorld due to my interest in the current C63 AMG sedan.
I have found a 2011 C63 Sedan for sale in my area for a reasonable price, so it really has me considering it more seriously.
My main question relates to the C63's (2011 in particular) reliability over time. I drive approx. 35,000km/yr (~22,000 miles). I prefer to own my vehicles for about 5 years. What should I expect to encounter as the car gets outside of its warranty? The car I'm interested in only has 20,000km (13,000 miles) on it at the moment.
Do any of you have experience with C63's with close to 150,000km (100,000 miles)?
I appreciate your feedback.

My 09 has 51k (I bought it with around 49.8k ) and is running very strong. Just get the extended warranty and do proper oil changes/services and it will last as long as you want it to!
I would imagine the facelifts would be even stronger.

I've got 44,000 on my 2011 and it's been mostly fine mechanically. I had the PS pump replaced under warranty at about 21k and my lumbar/bolsters stopped working for no damn reason, but that's about it. It's my fiance's daily driver since I hate it with a passion, but it's a good car for her and been pretty damn reliable overall.

I had the same concerns when purchasing my car. One of my buddies has an 09 with 90k on it. The only problems he experianced where and ignition switch issue and front shocks going out after driving it HARD and drives it daily.

Just get the headbolt issue checked out and the car should be fine. It's a well built motor and tranny that can handle much more than stock so as a daily driver doing mostly freeway miles shouldn't be too hard for the car to handle.
